Lucky Bag 2020! My mouth is already watering... I should probably get that looked at.

Now I love giant monsters, but I’ve probably seen less than 10% of all kaiju films. How ‘bout y’all?
Does having seen nearly all kaiju films produced before '89 count?

Post whoring invasion of the Infinity Glass Style Studio Shot begins now...
I tried that style out with some keshi toys, a few years ago. Except I used a black gloss folder instead of a mirror. The reflection is blurry and drops off quickly that way. I think it looks neat either way. I’m just too lazy to do it very often!
@Smotemotem I essentially tried copying a long time collector and former toy blogger, @toybotstudios, from his website. I tried using single pane glass sheets, which worked, but the reflection wasn’t strong enough or dramatic enough for me. Lightbulb went off in my head to try a mirror, and it’s been my standard for almost four years now!

"Canadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!" Thats what it sounds like anyways. Lol
Replying to DMs of people trying to buy stuff with criminally absurd pricing. Anyone wanna buy my TKOM for 30k?
They are expensive enough normal priced. Who the fuck is going to pay 30k?
What companies were making Sofubi in the 90s? Bandai, BearModel, M1, Marusan, Marmit...is that everybody?
I think Yamanaya started in '98. Amapro, Nostalgic Heroes and Tsuburaya Communications were all active late 90's too. Medicom, but like Bandai they have a lot of stuff made in China, so is it strictly Sofubi? Sunguts started in 2000 so just misses the list.
Thanks Moog! I totally missed out on this style of toy when I was a kid, so I was wondering just what I missed. All my Toho toys were solid plastic, had dull colors, and had very apparent seem lines. I'm gonna throw Sunguts into the mix. I love his Godzilla sculpts.
Yeah, Sunguts is an interesting one. He started off making Ultraman type dudes, then his own original Kaiju plus original manga style characters, whilst also doing licensed Kitaro/Yokai. Then more recently, licensed Godzilla. He's multi talented.
We've entered the era of fuck tois
Just so much blatant copy cats and lack of originality. People capitalizing on anything popular to make a sale. I just wanted to coin the term fuck toi for all the derivative ride on hype shit coming out B)
When is your baby yoda sculpt dropping Joe?
@eckotyper Baby Joeda.

Poison the Well announced a show for the 20th anniversary of “Opposite of December”, where, they’ll be playing the album in its entirety.
I would love it if they re-recorded the album as well... the original is super tinny sounding
@badteethcomics I kind of like that, though! It’s definitely a reflection of both the times and Trustkill Records. I don’t think it’d be that great if they re - recorded it, though. Jeff went through vocal training after “Tear From the Red” and his voice changed completely from “You Come Before You(my personal favorite)” forward.
Even now he doesn’t quite the range he did on even “Tropic Rot”, but he still sounds great. I just don’t think you can beat “Opposite...”’s original sound and still get the same feeling.
Act 1. A country road. A tree. Evening.
Long live the Big Bad Doo Doo Daddy! May his reign last a thousand years!
Just heard Wheatus and Semisonic (non-"Closing Time") on the radio! What year is it?
What new makers/toys are coming out that you are excited about?
That Caterpillar Kami looks nice. May be out of my price range from this year, though...
GENESIIS AkA The Crocodile Kid by Vilesore & Unbox.
Kikinoiko should be opening up more sales in the west next year, and Yoiko's recent minis with the playset backgrounds are high up on my list too. Probably the two new or new-ish makers I'm most interested in. Brent and Dennis have both teased new sculpts coming, and I expect both will capture my interest powerfully. Hoping to see something new from Ilu Ilu as well, but lord knows with that one.
Going over the DCON map already gives me anxiety. so many booths.
There's only about 7 booths you really care about. Why we choose to create this self inflicted anxiety is another issue entirely.
^^^ fully agree and most are in one area. I didn’t see the map til today and just trying to see what i needed to see was a headache
I've now had two anxiety dreams about dcon. Not finding booths, being lost, stuck in the bathroom pooping.
