The fugliest toys you have seen while collecting.

@The Moog I wasn’t at all a fan of the Morbus when I first saw it. But handling it for photos I ended up finding little things that I do like about it over time. The size is pretty nice, too. Reminds of a Good Guy Chucky “skull” inside of the Golgothan from Dogma.

As for the Fangorimonger, it is fugly, but it’s readable and it makes more intentional sense. It’s not a hodgepodge of shit thrown together, but rather a coherent mixture of horror icons that all co - exist within the same cinematic genre. Wouldn’t buy one, but if it fell into my lap I wouldn’t toss it.

 

Fair enough mate, each to their own of course. I just see something that fits in with all the other modern chaff nowadays, something-something Zombie / Skull / Over-detailed / Frank Mysterio Primitivo ... loose looking arms etc

@The Moog I cannot argue with any of those points, as that’s exactly how I looked at it at first. Still do, in fact! It just grew on me, and in a way I can’t even say for sure, since I don’t own one. Maybe it was like inadvertently learning the lyrics to a song you hate after hearing it enough times?

 

Sod it, i'm going to post this one as well. I expect plenty will disagree with me, but i don't care - its fugly.

I definitely agree with planet asia being in here. I'm not a fan of that goji/pollution monster at all!
It looks like a messy 3d printed toy.
I do like the Kikkake toy, in fact, I bought one on sunday. His toys are a great combo of fun and weird.
I also don't like that Nagarre horror toy, even though I love his toy that's like a sailor with a multiple eyeball face.
Still my favorite thread, even though I own half the toys on here.

Yeah, its seems an obscure character for a Japanese toy maker to incorporate into his work ... its probably dubbed for Japan maybe?

@The Moog I'm gonna have to go with the low hangin’ fruit and say it’s initials for Ugly Vinyl.

I genuinely feel bad with my opinion on customs like this sometimes, ‘cause I’m sure they had loads of fun, and are (hopefully) getting into it. It’s just the non - sensical nature of the application. Why is he wearing knee pads?! Roller derby Goji!!! The color choices, and the sheer amount of colors, too. I just...don’t get it.

having an opinion doesn't make someone a loser.
neither does a terrible paint job.
But one of those, definitely took waaaaaay more time than the other.

 

also, not liking artwork has nothing to do with whether you can do better.

i will say that its frustrating when someone gets very critical of specific detailing or cant elaborate on what it is they dont like (for the sake of conversation) when you know damn well they dont have the skill to achieve even the stuff they dont like themselves... but thats not to say they arent entitled to their opinion
