Collector One - Simple Collection Database App

That’s much more in-depth then I’ve gone. I’m using the collector one app, which has just threes fields (name, notes, additional info)

I use them for the name of the figure (generic or specific if it has a version name), who produced it (the name of the maker) and if applicable who painted it, and the additional is just the year it was made, if it was released at an event, if it came with anything (stickers, pins, underwear) and what I paid for it (if I can remember) and the base vinyl color. I’m not concerned with estimated value (that can change too often to keep updated), what factory produced it, or unique IDs. But I would suggest base vinyl color field, or traditional colorway field- There are a lot of Hawaii versions of toys out there, for instance. Or maybe you’re looking for a specific figure, but you can’t member the name, but it’s on yellow vinyl... or you can’t quite remember if a figure was on glow vinyl or white... this is the way my brain processes/remembers things in my collection.

And I’m cataloging the most prolific parts of my collection first. Namely my Secretbase figures and Gargamel micros (I’ve go about 40 micros, and trying to remember which 40 is tough- but I’ve only got two Elegab figures in my collection so it’s easy to remember which.)

oh. In my collection list, it is assumed that I have the header card/box/whatever packaging- I only include if I am missing the header in my notes.

Please purchase my the developers app by using this link to Amazon.

Based on my calculations, if I actually was on some kind of commission, I am only 7,644 weeks away from making $5.00

As I have said all the way along, I couldn’t find a thread mentioning any database apps to help someone keep track of their collection; however, I did find various threads where people questioned what would happen if they were not in a position to let loved ones know the value of their ‘toys’ and expressing fears about them getting ‘dumped’ or sold with no concept of pricing. Hence, when I stumbled across this, I thought it was worth mentioning... as always, other people’s mileage may vary!

The developer has updated the app again, based on feedback / requests.

The major change in that each individual entry can now have up to five photographs (perfect for those who want to put a photo of the header card, as well as multiple angles of the toy).

The app itself has had a visual overhaul as well; it felt intuitie to use before but now it is even easier to use.

Chepe, if you find this thread, big thanks for continuing to work on this project.
