@XVivaHateX Congrats on that massive haul! Arstron looks to be in great condition. Snowgon, too. (We might have been bidding against each other on that Arst)

The auction description had me expecting these in a lot worse shape than they actually showed up as, but I also have questions. The Sadolar's red head ridges are magic markered, right? Possibly the same with the eyes of Gorbagos? There wasn't much bidding going on, and damage or not, I'm still confused at how affordable they were.

Yes, I think they both have red marker. They both look great though, and even better if you were able to get a good deal. Gorabagos in particular can be kind of pricey.

Along with Jonathan @XVivaHateX, I also picked up a Marusan Daimajin recently:

The photographs do not really do these toys justice. Even with all the transfer marks and wear, there is something special with how those silver sprays reflect light against that magical Marusan blue vinyl. The metallic green highlights accent the colors just right. Holding one of these in hand with the ability to move around in natural lighting is quite a thing to behold.

I believe it was sculpted to reflect the stance in this early promotional film poster:

I got these two recently, which are both made by Bandai. The Bee woman is the first Kamen Rider kaijin I got, very classic and beutiful figure.
The robot below is from "がんばれロボコン", a robot-themed Tokusatsu for little children. I am so impressed by its sculpt, removable clear mask, nice proportion and so many details on its body. I don't want to unpack it, so it's a little pity that I can only appreciate through the bag.

@JoeMan And you were right to pull the trigger on that Pachi Hedorah, it's a beautiful piece and in a bag you don't see every day plus the header card art is a delight to the eyes. Congrats for this amazing score!

@JoeMan - Great score on the IKB Hedorah. I agree with Roger that the header art itself is an amazing relic.

    Here is an entertaining mystery:

I bid on this Bullmark Anguirus thinking it might be a flesh vinyl variant but wondered if it was a damaged or altered pink spray Hawaiian version. The auction photos were very poor with terrible lighting, but it looked to be on flesh vinyl with some reddish sprays and metallic blue on the spine. What I ended up receiving is some artifact from Bullmark history. The toy smells very old and was caked in dust, and it does not smell or feel like the 1980's kittoi vinyl. To add to the mystery, the Anguirus is from an earlier mold that is much larger and taller with sharp horns and spikes. It looks to match the original mold before Bullmark grounded down the horns and spikes on later production molds to make the toy safer for children. Brian Flynn has a flesh vinyl test shot from the master mold that also has these sharp horns and spikes. Additionally, there are pinholes on the bottom of the feet possibly indicating the toy was either put out on display or might have been a sales sample. I have sent some photos and questions around and the consensus seems to be that this is likely a one-off sample paint from early in the Bullmark production.

After carefully wiping away the layers of dust, the toy revealed some beautiful paints. There are thick matte maroon sprays with metallic red and silver highlights that cover most of the toy from horns to toes. The silver highlighting cleverly accents the ombré color effects on the chest and arms which show wonderfully on the flesh vinyl. A mix of silver and matte blue create a metallic effect on the spines. It looks like Bullmark artists might have been painting Anguirus examples with blue spines before the pink spray Hawaiian verison. It would be great to find out more information about this toy or where it might have been displayed.

Wow, awesome score! Was there anything in the auction text that indicated this wasn't an average figure? I also wonder what other items they were selling.

Hi Roger, the auction text was very generic with just “Bullmark Anguirus” and “bought at the figures shop, they said it was a ‘time thing’ / damage due to aging”. Not even the word “rare” included, so I don’t think they knew what it really was, and the minimum bid was 5500 yen. The seller has a vintage Bullmark Giant Gojira with a 66k yen minimum bid along with a pile of Bandai kaiju toys up right now, but nothing else like this that I have seen. It’s difficult to tell if it’s really a private seller or a resale shop. All their auction descriptions have brief titles with “bought at the figures shop” or similar along with another sentence on condition. I am curious where it originally came from.

@Alebrije @Russblue11 @Mr. Humphreys Thank you, this is quite a special one to join the collection. I have named the example “Earth Burrowing” Anguirus for now. ;)
