Imgur just raised 20 million dollars of funding in June, they aren't going anywhere...at least not for a while. Maybe your photos got flagged or reported by someone for some reason?

What a pain in the ass. If you don't have a Pro account, you don't have any information on the Stats page, which would tell you how many private photos you have.

Eh, I'm fine if my account goes away. I downloaded archives of everything a long time ago.

I think the blog post actually says that the private photos above the 50 private photo limit will be deleted- not the entire account. That is how I read it anyhow.

So, if I'm reading this correctly, deletions to free accounts with over 1000 items are coming for real this time, but they will be telling you directly that it's happening, right? The over 50 private items really only apply to restricted content, as such.

With all that, I stopped my pro account as I thought the price was over the top for me. Some CAD$156/USD$133/2yr.

But now, I don't think I can find a better suiting platform and just bite the bullet to pay the piper. I'm not a photographer and have no social network to worry about. I don't belong on Insta, 500px is for the real pros. What else is there?

Thanks for the heads up btw!

I am too invested to go elsewhere. Believe me I tried to leave but nothing really came close to meeting my needs other than Flickr. In the long run I like how my pics look. my albums sorted and my collections built. I just consider it a necessary expense for my hobbies.
