Always possible, they have a history of making squeaky toys too. My dad immediately thought it was a Leprechaun, which I don't really see, but who knows!

If I may quote the classic: "F*** you, Lucky Charm!". You have to watch out for Leprechauns, they can be nasty.

No hat, not likely Leprechaun. Definitely lederhosen, not likely Russian. Seems most likely it's a German/Bavarian/Tyrolean character, tho not necessarily from Germany. Have given a search or two in the past week+, nada.

Yeah, I didn't find anything either, thanks for trying. Its rare I buy a toy I can find zero information on, but it does happen occasionally. The complete lack of manufacturer markings makes it tougher, obviously.

I picture it belonging to one of these kids, in one of the past timelines:

14" high vintage Donkey, made by Combex. I've seen this sculpt produced by Ledraplastic as well, so somewhere along the line Combex borrowed (or bought) the Ledra mold and masks. I don't think i've seen Ledra use any Combex sculpts, but i've seen at least a couple of Ledra sculpts used by Combex.

I just found this fella on an old Combex advert I previously posted. They call him 'MERRY MOKE' ... I had to look up 'Moke'. You learn something new every day!

Moke is a term used in the British Isles as slang for Donkey. In Australia it refers to a nag or inferior horse, and is employed by Hawaiians to derogatorily describe segments of the local Polynesian population. In practice, the word 'moke' is similar to 'redneck', as it is only used to describe a certain personality type, instead of an entire ethnic group.

Two Combex squeakers originally attached to teething-rings. A bit of hot water and careful brute force and the ring pops right out, leaving the squeaker underneath.

Rare colour for a vintage squeaker, you don't see many bright green ones like this (compared to other colours). Made in Ireland.

Combex squeaker of 'Tramp'. In lovely condition, one of the less common Disney sculpts by Combex. 9" high.

Vintage water squirters, made in China for the American market. Probably 1960's by the look of 'em.

I've some boxes of old, mostly non-licensed, 'cute', fun vinyl toys. No way going to get them all out and displayed in this lifetime.
Might it be worthwhile to dig that stuff out and offer here on SB?

Possibly, there's a few people here that collect stuff like that, but not many.

I suppose it depends on what they are. How old, where they're from and what kind of style etc. I mostly only collect animals, for example ...

Thanks. Will try to get one of those boxes out and take some pics of stuff to show here in this thread. A lot of rubber toys, too; a fnckload of a lot of rubber toys! Will I don't figure it's much $ value, however there's a lot of fun, neat stuff that'd certainly be better served on someone's shelf than in these boxes.

"He who dies with the most toys wins". That doesn't seem like it'd be comforting on one's deathbed. ; )

15" approx Vintage Ledra Bambi ...

This one was cheap because the ear was flat to the head, which was actually the head falling-in, making the ear look strange. I took the head off and put it in very hot water, then blew into the neck to push the big dent out. I then put some rolled up plastic bags between the ears (on the outside) to keep them apart. It has worked really well, the head is staying the proper shape now.
