I've been eagerly awaiting the drop, however I'm running a Windows phone so I doubt I'll be playing this anytime soon. :'(
Im playing! Definitely a bit buggy still and missing some key features (like battling other trainers nearby) but still very fun so far. About to test my team at a gym today for the first time
It definitely looks like a cool concept with the "augmented-reality" approach. Personally, I'm trying to avoid it since I have enough other stupid apps on my phone that waste my time. Has anyone looked up the #pokemongo hashtag? There's some funny pics of Pokemon in odd places. I'm sure they'll only get better...or wrong, after more time.
Join Team Valor! I was actually playing the beta and I had a good time playing. It's definitely more enjoyable with a group of lads.. walking around.. downtown.. after closing up shop.. we def. ran into others playing.. it was kind of embarrassing for me tbh.. thinking.. everyone knows exactly what were doing. Regardless.. it got us out and about. Omw home i saw a BUNCH of kids around the neighborhood. I hate to say it though. I predict accidents maybe deaths.. due to folks not paying attention. I hear of people driving and playing at the same time which is a big no-no.
I just downloaded the app. Can't sign in with google. When I go to register it says it's under maintenance.
Depends. My servers usually go down around 10 and pick back up around 5:30. It's almost like clockwork
I'm playing. I like the augmented reality aspect and getting out, but I'm not sure there is enough complexity to the game for me to play it for more than a week. I'm excited to try it out in other places during travel, but I really hope they add more features in an update soon because I expect more "game" from the Pokemon franchise. Right now it feels gimmicky.
Ingress with Pokemon skin. I will get bored of this in maybe a month or 2. In the mean time, I've found a few near my apartment. Annoyed that you have to walk xx KM to hatch an egg instead of it being on a timer. Does everyone else's area look like this? View this post on Instagram
I'm thinking about trying it out with my 4 year old. I've never played Pokemon before, are we going to get frustrated and disappointed, or is this something casual that we can enjoy together?
Bert- Mine does but it does not have all those boxes. More vacant. James- It's sort of fun but mind you I tried showing my 6 year old and we walked around for a few blocks and found nothing. He was excited but nothing happened. News article: Wyoming teen stumbles on dead body while playing Pokémon Go
My servers are garbage and it hasn't saved a few catches I've made. ;( Prolly not going to be playing it for long.
my 6 year old daughter and i had some fun with it yesterday evening...got to some pokestops and caught a couple of pokemons, but i don't know if we'll keep playing at all...she hasn't mentioned it at all today. and SO MANY SERVER/LOGIN ISSUES.
So my girlfriend downloaded it onto her phone yesterday, and we're already up to level 6 and have around 40+ pokemon. Good lord is it addicting. I really do love seeing all these people out and about. We've seen a definite influx in activity around these parts. Pretty proud of myself for catching a wild Vileplume.
Not just you, Paras are sneaky little buggers. Spearows and Paras have equally broken out of poke'balls on my side. What teams have you all joined? We went yellow, as all we've seen have been red and blue. Wish there was a green team.
Just saw over 15 people in front of a target trying to catch pikachu. The little shit escaped and I haven't been able to find him since
I'm enjoying the game. Wish there were more options to fight friends, your only allowed to fight who ever is the gym owner. Gets you out and about though.
