    Ahah, you indeed found one.
Here is a pic of the 2012 lucky bag version, along with other glorious versions of Silver Robo and Noman.

Thanks Moog. The belt is really blue, even though the pic makes it look a little green.

That LB lineup is really nice. A great trio you have there! I quite like the Silver Robo version. I think the belt is possibly more of a monitor thing, as I am seeing it as a nice blue in the pic above.

Shucks, all these excellent photos of Bearmodel toys is really building up that yearning (even more) to get back in the game of hunting some of these down down again.

^^ Nice. I like the photo collage.

Congrats on finding him. I cant help but think of him as a kind of mutant Sonic the Hedgehog!
What Nova have you bought? They are all cool . . .

Weird, it really looks like a metallic aqua-green on my monitor!

The Bearmodel Nova is great, I have a couple of them. One of those rare occasions where I think the toy outshines the actual on screen appearance.

Just curious . . . have any of you Bear Model fans out there seen this brochure before? Or heard it mentioned?
Its the 'World Hobby Festival' April 2000 Brochure.
    B5 size: 48 page

I saw it for sale a while ago and i could of sworn the seller said the Bear Model toys were only on a few pages.
Trouble is, i cant find the listing again so i'm not 100% sure. If its the whole 48 pages i could see myself buying it
even though its B/W. If it is just a few pages of BM i dont think it would be worth it . . .

No, that is a completely new one to me. But even in black and white, what a resource that would be. If anyone here did have access to one, I am sure we could answer a lot of questions. And for toy pr0n alone, it is worth it. I doubt it is just a couple pages of Bearmodel though, since the cover features that exclusively, and the pages at least go up to 9 it would seem. Maybe a brochure that Bearmodel did for the festival, to advertise their own line. Crazy to think how many amazing toys they had out already by early 2000. I hope you can track one of these down Moog, count me in to chip in towards the cost, if it helps out board contributions and/or scanned copies.

Well, if i can establish it is more than nine pages, i have no problem in buying one. They seem to be popping up on YJA sporadically so i dont think it would be that hard to score one for a fair price. It wont be cheap by the looks of it but not ridiculous, either.

The current seller says something about the brochure acting as a 'ticket' for the festival. Also, is the figure on the cover i've ringed in green actually BM? I dont remember seeing that one on the BM roll call before . . . . all the others on the cover are definitely BM, like you say.

Yep, that Silver Kamen is indeed by Bearmodel. You can see him in these pics for reference:

^^ Cool, nice one . . . thanks for the speedy reply with the facts. I have to say he must be even rarer than the BM Diamond Eye.
I'm sure i've never seen him for sale before.

Hey, no thanks necessary. This is what it is all about! Well, I think they were about the same in terms of rarity. I love the Silver Kamen though, so I can see why he might be a little more popular with other collectors too.

There have also been a couple of colour spreads for Bearmodel toys from HH magazine, like this one,

Not as comprehensive, but it lets you see some more natural glory of the toys. And ooh that Giant Ultra. Verily, grail material.

^^ Yeah, that spread photo is such a tease. I've never been able to pin down exactly what issue-number it's from.
Someone PM'd me ages ago about this one but i couldn't figure out exactly what issue it is. I think its one of these but i dont know which one.

If anyone can tell me categorically what issue this is from, i would start searching on YJA for it. If i scored a copy high-res scans would follow . . .

WF tickets are surprisingly those kind of big catalogues, showing the long list of sellers along with ads for brands and shops. Several hundreds of pages thick ! You need to wave them at the entrance to go through the gates. Fun.

I've never seen that book. It's for the World Hobby Festival. Looks pretty nice with those B&W pics.
How far back do the early BM toys date ? I would say just before 2000 ?

Yep, we were looking at the same blog. Unfortunately, I cannot identify either which issue (if necessarily, it is from the set he shared in the photo) the spread pic is taken from. I can say that issues 3 and 7 shown are from 2007, possibly they all are, which also fits with the Bearmodel figures shown in that lineup (2006 figures) and the ones not yet released. So that might help narrow it down a little at least by knowing the volume. I am still doing some digging to see if I can find which specific issue it is from.

That is a good question. The listings on Club Tokyo only go back to 1997.

Cool, thanks man. I have scoured the net for HH page scan-sites and found a few, but have failed to find these particular issues.

I've just had a thought concerning the b/w festival brochure. It has 8 to 9 toys/sets per page by the looks of it. Im not convinced BM had enough toys in their lines to fill 48 pages back in 2000 or even at present . . .

Maybe a lot less pages would cover it? There is no way they could fill 48 in that format, surely?

Anyone wanna make an educated guess on how many sculpts are in the BM toy line up?

Yeah, you are right of course, and that would make a whole lot more sense too. And I guess I was being overly optimistic about the number of pics and writeups that might be inside for BM. I highly doubt it would have ever made it to 48 pages. ;) Still some 9 pages of delights is nothing to scoff at either. Pity that they had to use B&W photos to save on costs for these, because it really doesn't do the toys justice, particularly when you are featuring 'variants' of the sculpts next to each other on the same page.

Yeah, when I noticed some variants in those b/w pages it made no sense at all. I would assume whoever designed the brochure, did so in colour. Like you say, it must of been made b/w for cost.
