Uh... Wow? O_O Doesn't look very cyber new new to me... I checked out their webpage. A little underwhelming. Did remind me a little of Gwar though. Gwar would make for an excellent sofubi line if you're into that stuff! (hope youre listening medicomtoy!) I would buy into that!
I know. I have no idea what's going on. This is one time where I think it would really be appropriate to ask "who'd you hafta blow to get that deal?" Or, you know, even if you're not. I'd reckon about half of the toys I've bought as an adult I have absolutely no familiarity with their show/comic/manga/movie/franchise of origin. I definitely wouldn't let it stop me from getting Gwar based stuff if it was cool enough to stand on it's own. Also, I just checked out your Instagram. Some of your little groupings/scenes are neat. who needs that stiff, staid toy photography anyway?
True, same here. Thanks! I try to be a little more expressive/playful than just showing my newestest toy.... Glad you like it. Its just a good excuse to play around alot and take pictures!
I received my Medicom Astro Mu Marsman which I pre-ordered from C.J. MART today, but the gloves were missing Would anyone know how to go about getting this replaced, or just getting the gloves? I checked the C.J. MART website but couldn't find any information on problem orders. Thanks in advance if anyone can help, and has anyone had this type of issue before? adult image host
Oh man, that sucks. So sorry to hear. I doubt I will see mine for another month or two since I ordered through a US store, so I won't be able to confirm if this is a widespread problem with this issue. Hope you get it resolved speedily.
Man, that is a major letdown. While not CJ Mart's fault, necessarily, I would most definitely take the issue up with them - it is really up to them to handle the discrepancy with Medicom. I mean, yeah, it is great you got your figure, but it isn't really 'as ordered' and I think it is safe to say anyone would be disappointed with that, no matter how excellent the figures are. Medicom might happily send replacements (if they are able) or make this up to you on the sale, but really the responsibility lies directly with the retailer for supplying you the goods. But either way, I hope it works out for you, Martin.
Thanks so much, you're very kind. I have sent an email to Medicom. I couldn't find a contact for CJ MART. I'll let you know what the outcome is!
Thanks Kingboy D, yes let's hope it's just a on-off issue and not widespread! I received Marsman and Goldbeena today. Fortunately Marsman had his attachments! I incorrectly referred to the one in the photo as Marsman
Sorry to hear that Martin. Can you email them at info@cjmart.jp ? Their phone number is on their info page http://cjmart.jp/en/order/index.php At the bottom of the page is info on returns or "inefficient" (defective) items. Also note they mention you need to contact them within a week of receipt or they will "ignore"
As those are made to order, I don't think CJ Mart bought extra copies for stock. If they want to solve the problem, this will probably be with a refund, not a swap. Medicom might be of a better help to my opinion.
Ah, good point! Still, it's very annoying to have something go amiss, after waiting so long! Seems like Medicom is sacrificing on quality and completeness in their manufacturing. Kingboy mentioned his Medicom Anraku Drill guy was missing the orange spray detail. Hope this isn't going to be a trend with the toy maker. I put in an preorder for 3 mini Gogas, lets hope there is more attention taken care of down the assembly line!
Yes, I contacted Medicom directly. They replied and asked me to send some photos of the item. They also asked me to send a photo of the receipt, which in haste I had already torn up and threw in the rubbish bin! Rifled through my bin and found the pieces, then in jigsaw fashion pieced it together with tape. Lesson learned!!
Phew! Glad you were able to retrieve your receipt! Please keep is updated. @Kingboy D , perhaps you can email Medicom re. your Anraku?
I wonder how Medicom can continue this volume output without sacrifying on quality. It's been 2 or 3 years we see an utterly impressive number of sofubi releases every months. It seems to slow down a bit those last months, but nonetheless, this is the new golden age of sofubi. The sofubi factories were dying, and now we hear they are going to open in China... I just hope Medicom maintains his production in Japan. If it shifts to China, then I will loose faith in Medicom But this company knows what its doing, until now, they've done some amazing work. @spacemonkey66 : glad you already got a message from Medicom support.
I received my mars and vena from cj mart including their gloves, so no problem there for me...(phew) But when I unmasked vena I was expecting a female face similar to this one: To my surprise she has a male face similar to the others. Can someone inform me if the original nodder had a male face. I only have seen unmasked vena missile dolls and it might be the female face was only included on that version?
Heads up friendly people! I have received a reply from Medicom and they will send me the missing parts. Yay!!
^^^Great news! So happy for you Martin . @Kingboy D , perhaps you can write Medicom for a replacement?
I'm really looking forward to the image unveiling of the upcoming VAG series. The lineup is Rangeron, Negora, Gogamejira, and Maza. The Maza and Goga are the ones I'm most excited about. I'm very curious how the look of the Goga will differ from the mini.
So i tried to order a Space Godzilla and i get this in my email today. "Thank you very much for choosing Project 1/6 online shop. Due to the limitation on the distribution license, we do not ship/ sell the item(s) to your country, and therefore, we have cancelled your order." Little confused considering there is nothing on the page saying anything about restrictions in the USA on there page for it. And i tried to buy through Rakuten direct. I just tried C.J.Mart for shits and that seemed to work for it. Excited to obtain my first Godzilla sofubi!
