Beautiful Booska, @Vombie! (and I am not even as much of a nut for that fella as you) Thanks for taking the time and sharing those extra photos. You can really tell a quality toy from that kind of construction, and yes Grace, I definitely immediately went to Steiff too, particularly with that button. A pity the numbers on them were so low, but all that much better that a couple of them ended up with board members. A gorgeous toy, and he really looks fantastic atop your Booska family. Congratulations G!

PS - I have expressed it before, but still floored by those fabrikor shelves. Definitely the type of thing I would love to eventually find for a toy display if possible.

^^^ sigh... yes, I do wish they'd made more of the Booska teddy bears. They must be sooooo soft!
p.s. Those fabrikor shelves are really nice, especially seeing the different colors side by side, and filled with so much cuteness! As Daniel mentioned, I just wish the bottom was used for display space.

The Booksa doll was first offer for pre-order at Super Festival 69 on September 27, 2015 at Billiken booth. They have been re-offering it many times as soon as they finish with the next batch. I was following Masataro site. After the first ten were made, they immediately re-offered another small batch about 2 months later. Another production was made in late fall from another offering. And last time I tracked these they were offered for pre-order at Winter Super Festival in January 2016. There is definitely more than 40+ made now.

@Vombie - Jealous you have one. I go back and forth on getting one. Only thing stopping me is the hefty price tag.

@chimply.kaiju thank you for all the extra info! I can just imagine them, meticulously assembling the plump wad of fuzziness into a final Booska. Too bad the release numbers are so small. It must be a lot of work to craft all the pieces, grow the mohair (well knit it in place, anyway ;)), and finally orchestrate everything into perfect cuteness--handmade is intensive! I'm with you on the adoption principle, but not sure about venturing into M-world! @Vombie and @spacemonkey66 please feel free to post a whole lotta pics of your precious BBear! Can't get enough of them! :D

@chimply.kaiju What a plethora of info, unlocks everything! Thank you for the link! :)
I wish they'd give studio/factory tours, it would be loads of fun watching them make stuff. The sparrow chickadees looks like they were made by needle felting. So tempting to adopt a teddy bear Booska! :D

Superb!! I love the positioning and the case, he deserves to be at the top! I'm so pleased you were happy with yours as I am with mine. I've got mine sitting and within reach, I just love to pick him up and give him a cuddle. This toy is just amazing in every way. The detail is incredible. All totally handmade (and licensed) the maker is a genius!!

They are made in batches of 10. I am guessing that at least 50 have been made up to date.

Almost a week without any posts in this thread?? What the heck... I guess most people bought their toys in person this week with NYCC/Death's Vault/Bwana's shop opening up. Anyway, here's some new pieces that landed on my shelves over the past few days (minus Zagora.. just wanted to take a team-up shot)

It's becoming inevitable that I need to start collecting Elegab. I require a shelf of those wacky sculpts in my life.

I won this Cinema Monster from the recent Splurrt lottery, a collaboration with painter @Creation777 on Instagram.

The thread work is cool but I really like the half paint job. Feels like I have an unpainted flesh as well as a great painted version. I love it, he could have put some paint on the column though.

It was a run of 13.

That Monster looks pretty spectacular. I unfortunately didn't have the coin at the time of the lotto, so hopefully I'll come across one down the road. A flesh CM blank would be pretty pectacular to own, but this half paint rings to Joe'a split Cadaver Twins, and works incredibly well.
