Not sure about connections but being patient and getting on some Hardy Boys stee on the web does help. I would say Jon easily has the best collection of GB stuff on that side of the pond (I also traded him one of those tests)

brian - I thought that you used someone else's records to make that photo for the GB toy add. If you have one of these then that takes the tally that I know of up to 12.

wizeguy - I got them from super 7 and trading with other record collectors. The Yellow and the white version I won on eBay.

Luis – Last time I checked I was on 100+ GB records/cds/tapes.

Did anyone here get to see GB, at the revelation 25th anniversary show?

 

I saw them last Saturday at the show and they played a great set!

Congrats, amazing collection, I saw the yellow & white flip on the bay (Arrrghh $$$)... and I still need all of them except for the green & painted yellow (and I probably will never have the protos... )!

I'm not good at photoshopping but does anyone care to photoshop a revelation records colorway just to see how it would look. A black and Yellow GB with the REV logo on the back. Come on talented artists. What you got?

 

You basically have to imagine the one with the purple hoodie to have a black hoodie. I'd prefer one of those marbled ones with a black and yellow vinyl swirl

 

See, I was thinking more of a Black Gorilla with shiny teeth and eyes with Yellow Hoodie w/revelation logo on back.... but your marbled swirl sounds like a pretty bad ass idea as well!

Super excited for the new colorway, he will be my first! I've been a fan since 88 and had the chance to see them several times back in the glory days.. I had the pleasure of growing up in the same town as The Anthrax, one of the birthplaces of the NYHC/CTHC movement..

All of those old school Hardcore/Straight Edge bands from back in the day, I've pretty much seen them ALL..

 

Never heard of the band before. Maybe iv heard some there music and never bothered to research it. Ether way just picked up the new Gorilla Biscuit figure. If its an ape or a monkey im down for purchasing it whether or not i know where the origins came from lol.

Out of respect im going to youtube some of there stuff to listen to.

 

Here's one of my faves.. It's the only hardcore song that I know of with a harmonica solo..


Actually, now that I think about it, THIS tune is my favorite.. This was the first tune on their debut LP that came out back in 1989. The first time I ever heard it, I was BLOWN AWAY.


It is the biggest selling record released by Revelation Records with copies in excess of 100,000 sold on CD alone.. It really is pure energy. I'm so lucky to have been born in that era and in that part of the country to experience this all when it was happening..

 

Copped the new colorway, been after a GB for a while and I'm glad I wound up with the red hoodie, every copy (physical or digital) of the 7" I've had has been the red text so it seems "right" to me.
