I have always liked pins and patches, but this trend of instagram pin makers sent me over the deep end a bit-Anyone else out there buying lots of enamel pins? Let's see em! Here are some of mine! New ones always showing up though! haha
Not sure about that specific Rat Fink pin but these guys make a pretty nice one - http://therubbishrubbish.bigcartel.com/product/rat-fink
Just don't collect Scumbags and Superstars. Or do, but be aware that the owner is an assclown and I will judge you for supporting him.
Ooh I'm big into badges and enamel pins. Great idea @missy Here is the right and left side of my jean jacket: That overthinking pin also glows in the dark (very nicely I might add). I need more enamel pins. Etsy is really good for them.
Lixx I have been eyeing that Ovethinking pin for ages. Etsy is a treasure hoard for pins. I check out storenvy as well. Here's some of my favorites: At first I was just collecting Disney pins then Chris Lee came out with NightCakePress and that opened me up to a whole new kind of pins to collect.
Yeah its pretty nice. I liked the design so much I got the t-shirt as well lol. I really wish the artist Wrona would make this into an enamel pin:
A while back I was looking at tons of Simpsons enamel pins - never ended up buying any, but I really like 'em! I've got several pins/buttons on my jacket - I'll try to snap a couple pics sometime. I gotta say, I'm kind of a snob when it comes to hard enamel vs soft enamel.
Since the pin craze started up, I've seen a ton I would enjoy owning, but I live in central Texas and need to wear a jacket about 2 days out of 365. I tried putting some on my ball cap, but I thought they looked dumb there. Maybe a need a boy scout sash.
Only advantage of living in the northeast or midwest we get to wear cool jackets, sweaters, gear etc. Other than that the weather fucking sucks. Too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. If I never have to deal with snow again I'd be happy. Thats why I want to move to California (mid to northern). At least it never really gets below 40 and its never too hot in the summer.
Quick snap of the pins I've remembered to put back on my board.. I feel like I have so many missing pins looking at this Thanks for starting this thread! I'd thought about starting a enamel pin trade thread, but yeah.. you know.. didn't.
do tell! i do think some pins work better in hard vs soft, and vice versa. but i don't have a real preference between them.
View this post on Instagram here are mine! most are in rotation, a couple i've never worn, and yes, i do place them back in their backings and bags.
I just think hard looks much nicer. Soft looks like paint poured into a template - the quality just isn't the same.

Yeah - I agree with this totally. I see some great pins available out there but those thin black lines that come with so many soft enamel pins can really persuade me to turn the other way. Give me nice thick gold or nickel metallic lines on a hard enamel pin!
