The saddest part is that Papalemon isn't a bad sculptor, he just seems to be trying to appeal to the masses now. I mean, look at the body of the Blood Maijin with all of its joints and proportion, and then compare it to this or even Coolie High. He dumbs down his skills to appeal to the "gross out" community, and that's really a damn shame. He could be producing some badass and reasonably priced toys (the Zectron alien head collaboration had a very reasonable price point and was pretty cool) but now he's choosing to make knock-offs... ughhhhhh.
Definitely deserves to be here, along with all other nag lookslikes.

Didn't realize this was Papalemon's work. I kinda liked the Blood Maijin (hairless), and all the wacky tribute paints applied to it, and the use of that Last Zectron-sculpted alien head on it.
    This umpteenth nag-rip simply sucks.

It's probably got a scrotum on its back. Maybe several.

Id like it better if it actually had some different colored highlights in the hair. Who's this made by? Seems like a lot of Nag inspiration went off of this one as well as a few other things. Maybe bald without the hair would work better to or just a different hair style all together.

I kinda like the face. Reminds me of dollar store toys during Halloween season. In combination with that body, though, I'm not into it. If it was on some sort of chubby goblin body or a with. I'd be super into it.

The face kinda reminds me of the Bukimi Blasters demon dude. I think the thing that bothers me most about the sculpt is that big ass pear of a nose.

Well shit, it does look like that. I was wondering why it looked so familiar but just chalked it up to the nag similarity. Now it's twice the rip-off....

I am sure it took some skill to sculpt it, but why go through all that effort? I am not going to go and spend the next year of my life painting a surrealist man screaming on a boardwalk, because, you know what? someone's already done it. It's not horribly ugly or offensive atrocious, it just doesn't need to exist as it is. The proportions are all a bit wonky, but that's fine, it is just a personal thing, and this seems to be more the trend nowadays. But to just churn out another 'gross' hominid man, I dunno, is this so meta that it is now cool again? The hair doesn't particularly work for me either, especially on an unpainted toy. What is with the nub, is that supposed to be a belly-button, or some kind of belt? Interpreting it as the latter, I could right away think of a million more original directions this could have went in (e.g. bizarre superhero). I mean, fine, none of this surprised me anymore at this point, but I think the link to Halloween and cheap toy figures is apt, as that would be fine as a dimestore KO or horror reject, but to think of the time, money, factory pulls, and now 'collector,' investment in this, it's just unfortunate.

I had to Google it . . . and no, they are equally fuckin' weak!

The 'lets play with clay' kindergarten styling of NNN sucked first time around and it don't get better with age!

With so much suck around this thread should be way longer . . . 2/10 for effort Skulldrain!

Well with the recent trend of toys I guess we would be better off with a 'some actually nice toys you have seen while collecting' thread.

True enough, though it would be my hope that that is the remainder of Skullbrain. Note, though, that I said hope. >_>

I've seen a lot of bullshit in this thread but the last few pages... can it get any worse??? I hope the answer is "yes"

The simple answer, as always, is yes, yes it can.

*unfortunately, in the pantheons of bad Trump humour, I don't even think this is as bad as there is out there; and we're now bordering on the 'so bad, it's good' zone

That may be ugly, but it's also pretty fucking genius.

Yeah well it's also better than AIDS, but then that's not really saying much, is it?

That PLT thing is probably just the next logical step in the devolution of the "homage" (btw: fuck you, Tarantino). Just take that shit and slap your name on it. After all, it's the second Nag sculpt that guy was "inspired by"... Why even bother adding giant festering robo schlongs.

Quoted, because everyone needs to note this. There is a not-so-fine line between paying respect with an homage and outright ripping people off and getting credit for other people's artistic vision, as I am sure some folks on this board can attest to.
