Jeez, @MoonspellxRites. That's a scary pic to come across. I can't imagine how terrifying it must've been to be in it. Glad to hear you're in good spirits and initially it sounds like for the most part doing alright.

Wouldn't hurt to have someone around you for the next day or two tho, just in case.

 

As a commercial driver and someone who just genuinely DESPISES poor driving and inconsiderate asshats.....damn. As was posted above, please make sure you get yourself checked out by a professional. Even if you might "feel fine", you could potentially be host to something more severe. Stay safe!

 

Agree with others ... You should get checked out if at all possible. It can sometimes take a few days for injuries to manifest themselves = bruises , pain , swelling , concussion , etc.

Know this from personal experience ... My Mother and I were rear ended by a drunk driver fleeing the scene of a hit & run while he was being chased by police.
I was so concerned for her welfare , that I waived off being checked , etc. myself..
Bottom line = started hurting more 2-3 days after the wreck and hurt for over a month before pain went away. As a side note , insurance gave my Mother a small amount for pain & suffering but wouldn't give me anything because I didn't get treated / checked out at the emergency room. (e.g. ... A physician didn't document my injuries & therefore I didn't have any !)

 

^^Exactly. If the other driver is identified, it would be a good idea to have a record of any injuries. Also adrenaline can mask trauma. Though you may only feel discomfort now, it can quickly escalate. Please reconsider going to the doctor and, as many others have mentioned already, ask a few people to check in on you at regular intervals over the next 72 hours. You hit your head at least twice and that is nothing to ignore. Your ribs and leg might need another glance. Nothing against paramedics- they are the front line and most are incredibly good at their job. I'd venture a guess, however, that they advised you to see a doctor as well. Don't mess around with your health.

Holy shit @MoonspellxRites - I am so glad you're okay. I hope you can make the asshole that hit you pay to replace the air compressor... when they eventually find him, that is. Hope they get him soon. Bad drivers are bad enough, hit and run douches are a whole different level.

As for my "fuck you," I just want to say fuck you to the mother who let their kid terrorize a family of geese at the park yesterday. Okay, I know that geese are assholes on a regular basis. Still, they were desperately trying to protect their babies. Just because your kid wants to chase the geese doesn't mean you should let them. (I was hoping her or her daughter would slip in goose poop as some kind of karma on their way out of the park, but it didn't happen.)
At least seeing a family holding a quinciniera photoshoot cheered me up afterwards. You could tell that a large part of the extended family was there, and they were all so happy for the girl. It was adorable.

 

A big fuck you to the backstabbing regular customer/collector of action figures that would show up to my store at Walmart every night and to who I helped try to find what he wanted when he couldn't find it!

So we ended up getting one box of WV2 6 inch 40th anniversary figures in for Star Wars. If anyone of you are knowledgeable with that particular line you know how hard it is to obtain certain figures. I asked my supervisor if i could bring the box out on the store floor since we were going to be pulling freight out soon anyways and he said ok. On lunch break i opened the box on the floor and there were least 4 figures that were just 1 of in the case. I really wanted the Tusken Raider from that set since it was the only toy i had interest in. I than went and made my purchase leaving the box out in case our usual came by and was looking for something from that wave. Well on my way to pull pallets to the floor i ran into him. He than asked me if i had seen that particular figure. I told him i had made the purchase and that it was pretty much the only toy i really wanted. I thought nothing of it seeing how this guy pretty much gets everything before me anyways but since he did not have it instead of letting it go he found my supervisor pulled him aside to talk and the next thing i know it i got my supervisor coming back telling me i have to give him back the purchase that i had made because its a rare desirable toy and that I as an employee am not allowed to purchase anything till after 10 PM when most of the freight is out which is a load of fucking garbage. I than gave the supervisor my toy with the receipt and told him that that i don't want to see that bastard for the rest of the night.

Its probably the first time iv ever wanted to seriously hurt a customer at my Walmart after helping them night after night trying to find the things they wanted. Since it was the only toy he needed for his already full collection he seemed to not care about pulling low blows about reminding my supervisor about complaining to corporate. Yeah apparently it means that much to the man since he stalks specific freight drops night after night. Im seriously going to tell him how scummy and low that was of him to do and that he will not receive help from me again regardless of customer policy. I wont even bother telling him what freight we get in ether. I know you guys will tell me just to order it online or Ebay it but i don't feel like paying scalper fees and extra shipping and handling BS that comes with it.

Seriously man a good night ruined by one douchbag's obsession with the "gotta have them all" mentality.

 

Jesus fuckin' Christ, Manny. How the fuck did I miss that?! Dude, it is a HUGE relief that you're still here, and able to tell us of this chaos! I legitimately hope justice swiftly scoops up the scumbag piece of shit that took off from the scene, be it by authorities or the reaper during their time alone. Might sound too vengeful, but it'd be better than them hurting someone else and bailing again.
