Great find @deafmetal , thanks for the help man ! I think they are the only Marusan Ultra Q babies and the others M1 Ultra Q babies are new sculpts inspired by the original Marusan series.
@Fedhai - Happy to help. There is also a photo on Club Tokyo, including the original Gojira figure but missing the Kanegon: There seems to be at least two different vinyl colors of these toys (brown/orange) for most of these. The originals were wind-up walkers, but the reissues are described as coin banks due to not including the mechanical components.
Gargamel made similar wind up walkers (with full mechanical components) with baby versions of their fighter characters
titanosaurus is actually my least favorite kaiju and i am very vocal about it in my household. BUT ive been eyeing that red(?) painted version for a couple months and i think i need to pull the trigger soon lol your great collection shots have swayed my opinion even more
@deafmetal - Thanks Mark. The yellow is my favorite of all the color versions released by M1. @MoonspellxRites - Haha, I hope if you get one that you like it. Here are a few others I have that I forgot to post:
Pull the trigger you won't be disappointed. I recently picked up the red from an awesome boardie and it is one of my favorite M1 sculpts now. I'm gonna need different colorways of that bad boy now.
That is a whole lotta Titanosaur, Anthony. Seems like you must have a whole reference library of toys, we ought to start our own DB.... oorrrrr you could just let me come over and document them in person. I think the yellow remains my personal favourite, too, but I do have to say, for anyone reading this, that the [relatively cheap and easy to come by] classic red version is brilliant and a great buy for the mini MG alone. Anyways, spectacular lineup of toys, thanks for posting the pics of them all here.
indeed I recently picked up the green one and it defo needs a red partner. He has such a wicked malevolent look in his eye.
Awesome pictures that totally do justice to this wonderful toy ! I used to have all the possible versions before selling them but i lately ended up buying the yellow version again... So there are now one in my flat in Paris and another one in my room in London...
@toothaction - David, originally from the preview pre-order pictures, I wasn't sure if that lavendar/light purple vinyl would work with the colors. I almost passed on the pre-order. Glad I did not. It's just awesome!
That's the Medicom one? I can hardly believe it! Based on your picture, it stuns me to say, I like it even more than those first three that Yuji painted himself.
Helped my friends run their booth at Gfest this weekend here in Chicago and M1GO was in attendance. Saw these guys. They were gone in seconds. /?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading" data-instgrm-version="14" style=" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:540px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);"> /?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading" style=" background:#FFFFFF; line-height:0; padding:0 0; text-align:center; text-decoration:none; width:100%;" target="_blank"> View this post on Instagram
Considering they were only priced at $60 each, I would be surprised if they did not sell out. They had other trikes also other than the one's in the picture. All trikes sold out on Friday to my understanding.
Yeah, I heard about the trike fest there. They had very cool toys and a great selection of gojis. I was quite bummed. I got two of the $5 minis. They are wonderfully painted. I'll get photo soon. Those goji banks up there made their way too in blue and brown as well as a gatchaman and a few other sets. I hope we get the chance to see them again soon.
@gatiio - Do you have any photos of the full M1GO table spread? Thanks in advance to anybody who has some to post here.
@gatiio - No worries. I did not find any on IG with the #gfest or #m1go tags, but I appreciate the idea. Your photo is the best so far, thanks.
