I'm not too fond of licensed toys but simply could not resist this little Spidey peg : )

Revolution box set is very lust worthy too bad I can't get to SDCC and it'll probably sell out fast online, especially since being posted on Gizmodo :/

That is a great find @nefasth. :) The Little People have a big place in my heart from childhood, they were probably some of my first toys. Is that a custom? Now I would love to see need a whole team of Marvel characters, but suitably done in a retro, non high-end style.

^ As licensed as can be, pHteve:

The line, from the same folk that brought my favorite neo-Megos to life, is not without it's successes - Green Goblin and especially Doc Oc work for my eyes - but, as is the odd trend, the DC end of things is much better serviced ---

Do please ignore Cavil and Affleck in the front!

Plenty more out there, and all you have to do is Google 'pin mates' for a review of all the wonders and the horrors presently available.

    Today's winner?

    Winner-ish, actually, but borderline compelling.

The bridge and it's denizens are not without appeal, too, I guess...

Dragon Ball Super 6 inch figures! These bad boys come with extra hands for different fighting posses and even come with display stands so you can preform more complex fighting moves with your figures. These honestly would go great with any 6 inch figure line as of current. The first half of the wave is Super Saiyan Goku, Vegeta and Beerus. The second half of the wave to come out later will feature Super Saiyan Vegeta, Freeza and Goku. Plus when you get them all it builds Shenron. Great for pretty much anyone that's into this series. Iv been finding myself enjoying the Dragon Ball Super Anime quite a bit.

Very cool though. I wasn't honestly expecting a normal wave of figures to pop up. Only those super expensive Japanese SH Figuarts figures.

Thanks David. That is sort of what I suspected, giving how finished it looked. I still think I would prefer the 'janky' look of old-stylie customs, but the ability to pull some of these off the shelves at a local shop would be very welcome. You are absolutely right, and i have to - if disappointingly - admit that the DC line is leagues ahead of that fairly sad looking Marvel bunch. Still much too polished, both figuratively and literally, for my personal aesthetic preference, but a darn lot of fun. And the playset possibilities for these, as demonstrated wonderfully by that OS bridge, has the mind reeling with excitement. Not something I would chase, and lorb knows I have enough toys wistfully catching the eye on the horizon, but these would be great to give to a child to introduce them to properties you love too. Anyhoo, thanks for the bit if info D!

I really like the star trek set that opens up and you can see from above as well. If only it was TNG i'd be triggered.

A goodly number of Bif Bang Pow!'s Twilight Zone dolls, done up in the faux Mego style. The grayscale pretense is but sweet gravy!

Apropos of nothing, I find it interesting that out of all the ones you bought you don't have the two TZ figures that I have.

Henry Bemis and the Three-Eyed Venusian. I always meant to get more, but got overwhelmed by the line, and all the other ReMego stuff that was coming out. The TZ figures are some of the best though.

In such a short time, that is a shocking amount of shock. What a delightful monochrome family. Making me really long for a series re-visit.

You are spot on about the overwhelming nature of these unMegos, Mark. A couple years back they came out in such a fury, and across so many interesting licenses, it was sure something. An amazing problem to be had, of course. I think since it has died down, which is unfortunate, but it does make it somewhat easier to set your sights on reasonable collection goals, like the above.

Oh boy, there's still a ton of stuff coming out! Figures Toy Company has, and continues to, release an actual shit-load of figures, mostly from their DC license, but also... Dallas, KISS, Gilligan's Island, The Monkees, Evel Knievel, Tarzan and friends, Hanna Barbera, Harry Potter, Conan the Barbarian and pals, The Three Stooges, etc. etc.

Biff Bang Pow! has stopped their 8" lines, but then there's the Marvel license figure sets from Diamond Select,

Plus, the NECA figures, which are same scale, and clothed, but a slightly different animal.

And a few other smaller companies.

As a Mego kid it was exciting at first, but became overwhelming like super duper fast.

Feel like sharing a snap of the family that you've built so far, Mark?

I'm thankful in that the majority of the newbies that have been coming out since '99 , repros and new licenses alike... Eh, hold that thought. I'm far too tired to construct the elaborate post that I have in my mind. G'night, world!

I'll have to look for some old pics. Most of my figures are packed away right now cuz my cat keeps getting on the shelf and knocking them off.

Also, I'll have to figure out how to post pics here again. I guess I could just make my IG account public but I'm not super jazzed on that thought.

That is so funny you know, I just saw his counterpart, Soundwave, last week and was impressed with how much truer it was to the G1 stylings. Not much of the newer TF stuff does anything for me, but this Titans/Generations figures looked interesting. Still suffers from the blocky realisation I don't much care for and poor transforming ability a little I think, but the inclusion of the headmaster feature really put it over the top. If I had some cash on me, it would have been an easy decision, but had to leave this (i.e. that) fella on the shelf. Plus I really need me some microcassettes. I always wanted to hunt down a vintage one since it was one of those unfulfilled childhood wishes, but yeah, the collectors' market for TF stuff makes it not easy for average schmos to cheaply relive some nostalgic thrills.
