You both are not lying. I woke up to a ton of pics of a killer Green King Ju and was like "What!?!"

 

What kind of release was done for the greenies? It sure wasn't on the hxs website was it?

 

Even when it was on the website for some reason there was no info for me for the cyclops one :/

 

The green kings, like Mike said, were probably held off entries from the last lotto. Probably missed the lotto window for the MG2 Decypher, he took the post down after 24 hours due to still receiving submissions.

 

The lottery for the Cyclops MGJ version was removed by HS after the lottery ended. Submissions on May 27, 2017. Price 25000 yen. Here are the photos that were removed.

Amazing, green is my top pic for anything really. And love how the Cyclops MGJ ver. has T-28 esque boosters on the back. These two are def on the top of my list, especially since they were the most recent and hopefully, one day, obtainable.

 

I absolutely love the t-28 reference in the MJ2. With that in mind this would have been the definitive paint job for me.

There will be super chaotic scenes at this event of the year for sure.
I think the VIP list alone will be chaotic, lets see how this event pans out
If any maker is truly concern about re-sellers, just take the cue from Anraku and have the balls to go the medicom route.
Over time, I can assure you that there wouldn't be 10,000 pre-orders

 

It's a double edged sword. You wanna make legitimate fans happy, but you don't want to compromise the personal integrity of your toys, which is what I assume artists like Hirota retain when they keep their runs short.

This show looks like it's going to be bananas, and if you know how the Japanese crowds assemble for shoe releases and how they did for kaws drops... it will be more than crazy just to see the line.

I think you guys are interpreting his message incorrectly. I believe he is saying that if he sells items at the show it would be chaotic and then there would be a lot of flipping afterwards. He just wants people to enjoy the show so this will be strictly an exhibition, no sales.

 

Makes sense now that you've mentioned. If it's indeed so, lots of people traveling to Japan are going to be shocked and maybe pissed

 

The exhibit will offer a retrospective look at Hirota’s toys featuring each colorway released plus potentially one-offs/tests. In addition to his gorilla and monster sofubi figures, the event will also feature a display of paintings, skateboards, and the debut of two new monsters. And…expect a surprise or two.

This is an exhibition in the museum sense of the word—no toys will be available for sale.
