Congratulations!!! Those colors are totally in season right now with all of the pastel Easter candy and decor.
@animator Congratulations for this major score, the paint job Dennis did on this one was excellent. I feel that it adds a touch of M1go's painting work.
Thanks everyone more pics to come, this 1 is truly beautiful. I'll have to make an easter basket with him in it!
Don't tell Megan, she really wants a sphinx. Owen, our new dog, likes to chase cats (and anything else that moves) so it is unlikely.
I know a sphynx mama and she has four or five of them last count. Cats are awesome! I am eyeing a pregnant stray cat hanging out in my backyard. I could have kittens soon.
Good to see they're starting to land. Dennis once again knocked it out of the park with the marbling on this one, it's absolutely beautiful. Looking forward to getting mine.
Does the small 'wolf' have a name? I've really liked Dennis is evolving. Admittedly I didn't get the 'kumon' at first but now think it's a great sculpt and perfect size.
The wolf is about the size of the Kumon and as far as I know it does not have a name, but maybe Dennis can help us with the name. As you said quite well; The Kumon is a great sculpture and I feel it has a touch of vintage style, especially the first painted versions.
His name is wolf guy or whatever you want it to be haha. Doesn't have a name, but he's the cronie for the Nekomata.
@The Moog Thank you! They are giving a warm welcome to the Nekomata. The pink color of the vinyl reflects too much light, so sometimes gives the impression that it is on fire.
This was posted on the Siccaluna instagram today... not sure how I feel about it. Looks like it's going to be a 4-legged (standing, possibly sitting?) dog version of Nekomata.. certain details are a little too similar which makes it feel a bit weird. Definitely fits into the whole bootleg/pachi/target earth group of somewhat harmless rip-off toys.. still leaves kind of a bad taste in the mouth (that's what I get for licking sofubi I guess) View this post on Instagram
I think this should’ve been posted/discussed in the Siccaluna thread. I, too, feel like it’s a Cerberus version/enemy/equivalent to the Nekomata, but Miyazawa - San sculpted the Nekomata. So I can see where his style is carrying over to this one, as well. I personally love this sculpt and can’t wait to see more versions, and a full reveal.
I figured that since he sculpted the nekomata, he and Dennis either collaborated on this or at least had discussions about it, which should alleviate any bad taste with regard to any thought of foul play. I too had a brief WTF moment when I saw the post on IG before connected the dots. I'm definitely hoping Dennis produces some battle sets!
