Very old vintage ramp walker piggy. Kinda reminds me of Jim Woodring.

Couldn't believe my luck. Magical Murphy by Sun Arrow for 50p at a boot sale.
I love these apes but i hardly ever see them out in the wild, especially one as nice as this.

Still got his banana and he's one of the versions not dressed up in clothes and/or hat which i much prefer.
Sa-weet. Press his chest and his mouth opens, so he can 'bite' stuff.

One of my all time favorites.

There is a knock off mini version too. I have it but when my cat still lived in this world she dissected it along with some choice Mego parts.

    Crazy price man, crazy!

Proof again collecting can be fun and inexpensive.

Yeah, I have a couple of those. And i totally agree, collecting doesn't always have to cost big money. Plenty of cool toys at reasonable used prices, ya just gotta do some rummaging!

I bought these from a regular collector / seller at a boot sale. He's a cool dude, but he knows absolutely nothing about Sofubi.
He certainly has good taste in other toys though . . . .

Pretty sure these are all made by Combex in the UK but only the smaller Smurfette's have the Combex mark.
The lighter blue Smurfette i already had, the two darker ones are new.

Made in the UK - Approx 6" high
    Most likely 60's / 70's.

@The Moog - The Smurf stuff is great. The show was part of my fun watch for Saturday morning cartoons.

Me too, the voice actors were great as a i recall. I haven't seen the cartoon in years, but i own quite a lot of the Peyo comics.
King Smurf and Astro Smurf are favourites . . . .

@The Moog I like that Papa Smurf especially. I have a modern King Smurf vinyl figure somewhere... it was too big to fit in any case and I'm paranoid about dust getting on anything worth more than about 500 yen so it got packed away.

I watched through all the Johan and Pirlouit episodes of the Smurfs cartoon recently (apparently it was actually a separate cartoon in Europe.) It seems to follow the books pretty closely, which I don't think the Smurf episodes do, so worth watching seeing as you can't get those in English.

I'm tempted to start a collection of vinyl/plush apes, as well...

That was the comic the Smurfs first appeared in, wasn't it?

    Go for it :)

Yep, Johan and Peewit is the English name.

Don't think it'll go well with the dust paranoia

Tom. 1973. Boot sale for 10p.
Flocked 5" high. Probably quite rare, he's a bit tatty but still has charm.

Ken Dodd died very recently. This is one of his 'Diddymen' figures from the 1960's.
His name is 'Mick the Marmaliser'.

    RIP Ken, you mad bastard!

^^ Really like that Mario, he looks different to a lot of Mario figures.
    Is he quite old? @kappa

Yeah, I guess he's from before Mario 3 (before Nintendo had a proper character designer). I don't know of any other vintage ones with poseable arms, either.
