New purchase on the right. It has a different sculpted blow-mold plastic body compared to the squeaker on the left.
I assume sombody was left with boxes of the Panther's head but no bodies, so they re-sculpted a cheaper plastic body.
(or they lost the original mold for the body) maybe?

    9" high.

Interesting...maybe the blow mold one was used for bubblebath

Ah, a bubble bath container . . . that makes more sense. Repurposed soft vinyl head used on a plastic bottle body, is most likely then.
    Cheers for the info!

@The Moog those are so great. I've always wanted a Pink Panther toy in the collection but some of them are a bit too 'Hallmark' for my tastes but this one is simple & perfect! Adding to the ever growing list...

Yeah, quite often older toys of licensed characters have much more charm than modern over-articulated toys.
Or modern stuff is more like a 'collectable' model and not a toy at all . . .

Two are vintage and one is 19 years old, so close enough.

^^ Nice, i very nearly scored the one on the right once.

5" long reclining Kewpie. Seller said it was 'vintage' which is a possibility, but doubtful.

This is pretty old, not sure whether its Shampoo or Bubble Bath.
Looks like a Soaky bottle but probably not, i'm trying to figure out what the 'R' stands for on the cap.
    £1 at a boot sale.

I think this originally came with a little stand you put its feet in. It doesn't stand up on its own.

Ha, that Doughboy reminds me of another toy I really need to post here at some point.
Yes, agreed. This thing is delightful.

Yes, he did have a stand. One of my all-time childhood faves. There's also a figure of his lady friend, and then a bunch of finger puppets of the whole Poppin' Fresh family.

Unfortunately, I have no idea where the character is from. Its a printing stamp with the red ink pad in the base, some of the ink has gone into the vinyl on its face etc.

The figure has C.I.C. - N.B. - AIKA as the makers mark.

I love it and would like to know more about it myself . . .

Who knows what they sell for, doubt many exist. I do not think it's Minya, maybe some forgotten character connected to 円谷プロダクション or a character of the AIKA manufacturer?

Looks like a Moonin creature a bit, and sorta like one of the Taro Q characters. Hopefully someone digs up some solid history

Thanks for the link. I like the 'lamp' of course. The character does look a bit Moomin doesn't it.

I will take a photo of the stamp. Its basically this character zapping a cow with its ultra beam. There is a name/word in Japanese beneath the cow, and if I'm not mistaken they represent little turds.

It looks like a funny kids manga to me . . .

Fair enough, but we really have nothing to base this on either way. BUT, from experience with ebay, looking at the seller's other items, examining the pricing scheme there, and just using some common sense with a healthy dose of personal opinion, I do not think this listing is any sort of accurate metre stick. Take from that what you will. I can come up with many other 'rare' item auctions.

Not saying I know any more, but the style of this character, my experience with these sort of character lamps, and again, personal opinion (informed by decades of random hunting, flea marketing, etc.), I would place this likely from the later '80s or even '90s. And just because we haven't seen them before doesn't mean they were produced in the hundreds of thousands for whatever promotion, etc., at the time. It's all relative.

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out who it is. My guess is it's an original character - things weren't so strict in the 80s.

On the stamp he's blasting a cow and saying some variation of Ultraman's "shuwacchi"...

Will continue buying any I see
