    @boon velvet
    Its a pity a lot of the BM I still want are so damned expensive nowadays. The price of living in the UK has soared but my wages have stayed the same, so i just can't afford them like I used to be able too. Its a shame, but wadya gonna do? Glad i built up a nice collection before the prices went berserk in the last few years!

    @xSuicide Squadx
    Thanks, that made me laugh!

    Major thumbs down to both of those things. And each of which I can fully relate to. Living wage and increasing prices makes this a very tough hobby. I hesitate to throw here as well that once you factor in the shipping - when it is even possible - some of us are at a major disadvantage. Not moaning or looking for sympathy, but all those people crying for popular sofuubees should reflect on how it is pretty fortunate to have such access to toys at all. And those with the disposable income to throw money at blind trends and whatnot, and buy plane tickets to chase toys around the world, well, that's as unrelatable to me as the whole private/public school experience.

    I know that "jap" is probably a North American specific slur, but can we please stop using this word?

    If you're too lazy to write out Japanese, might as well just write 日本/日本人

    Pls don't be too sensitive. I work with Japanese colleagues. Even they use this term so i am used to it. Even our japanese counterparties use it to refer to themselves.

    Nah, I think I'll be sensitive.

    Here's the acceptable language thread if you need a rule to make you act like a decent human being.

    There was another conversation about the use of that word in another thread and person was warned that usage was not acceptable.

    Thank you. I would take note of this. And please do understand that i work in Singapore with a Japanese team serving Asian clients with a lot of Japanese customers. All of us use it as a short form and its like daily use. So to us, it is not a racial slur but a normal short form for ease of usage during work. I would refrain from using this short form.

    Can relate, grew up with my family calling ourselves and others Pakis and then learned it's a borderline slur in the UK.

    Heh, more than borderline. When I was a kid, racist people were always complaining about 'Wogs and Pakis'.

    Paki was the 'P' word equivalent of the 'N' word.

    But some people will buy it just because it comes out in their favorite blank color! :roll:
