    Another “toy artist” who will likely fade into obscurity after a few releases, once they made a profit off of their $500 toys.

    Pretty fugly, who would want this crap on their shelves? Joints look like some mcfarlane toy reject and paint looks like the guy swished it in his mouth and spit on it. Dumb mashup too, Frankenstein & Elephant Man? Why not mash up Dracula and Stephen Hawking while you’re at it and charge $800.

    Wait I made this thing, am I doing SB right?

    Stefan Hawkula, vampire physicist. His thirst for knowledge matched only by his thirst for blood, Hawkula uses his immortality to unravel the mysteries of the cosmos.

    Eh? Eh???

    I doubt it’s officially licensed either.

    I know the question I'm about to ask could easily be taken the wrong way @The Moog but it is totally honest and without any negative intent behind it whatsoever. I have enjoyed your posts for years and your ridiculously awesome contributions in that toy ads thread as well.

    My question is if it more fun or less fun or maybe the exact same amount of fun "being mean and uncharitable" when the artist shows up and reads what you wrote? Do you feel bad about calling his work shitty poop icing on a turd cake or are you glad he actually read it and responded? Is it even funnier now or do you regret it in some way?

    Again, I am dead serious and really just honestly curious. Not passing judgement at all. If I didn't think you'd give me an honest answer I wouldn't be asking but you are a pretty stand up guy so I don't think you'll be upset at my question.

    @Waterbear

    Well, firstly i stand by the 'shitty poop icing on a turd cake' because I still think it, whether the artist has read the comment or not. In fact I laughed when i read your post because I forgot I even wrote it. The indie toy scene is oversaturated with expensive 'designer' kaiju nowadays, so I think any criticism is good. An antidote to the sycophantic comments on IG is needed, and this thread is one of those outlets.

    Miscreation, as an artist who sells expensive customs, should be able to take a bit of ragging from people like me. As long as I don't get personal and stick to discussing the aesthetic value of the toy, I don't see anything wrong with that. As long as there is art there will be art criticism.

    Any artist who can't take negative things said about their work should probably think about doing something else. Its going to happen, so why not have it happen on a toy forum.

    It’s totally OK to criticize what I do, people have been hating my stuff for years, I’d prefer to hear honesty anyways. I’ve never claimed what I do is that amazing either. Everyone has their own taste and we have to respect that. :thumbsup:

    Absolutely. I realise the colourful language I use to describe fugly toys on this thread could be taken the wrong way, but its just one nerdy toy collectors opinion after all. For every toy I slag off there's many people who disagree and proudly display said toy on their shelf. Horses for courses, innit.

    I've always respected Frank as an artist and toy maker but with this lump, he's playing to the Nag crowd so hard his fingers should be bleeding.
