I think it’s just a reflection of Dennis’ wild imagination, mixed in with a kooky toy dude personality.
Very fitting, indeed! An Astro Zombie exclusive, and Funnyara is of course a vintage fanatic. So it pays homage to the Marusan/Bullmark Antlar, in case anyone wondered or missed it! Image ripped from Mandarake. Spoiler
Vintage fanatic, horror fanatic, record fanatic, black cat fanatic, Thunderbirds fanatic, beer fanatic, punk fanatic . . . that list is endless!
@Anti Social Andy I’ve only been to Osaka once, and we were only there for a day, time mostly taken up for the show that my friends played. So I unfortunately didn’t get to visit his iconic, legendary shop. 2020 is for sure the year I change that.
I remember seeing the first photos of this version in the @The Moog collection on Flickr and since then it was love at first sight, I always wanted to add this arachnid version to the collection and now thanks to an excellent person it was possible.
Congrats! I think it was the first Kumon i ever scored. The white vinyl grabs the eye, he's a beauty.
Was about to say that the Yellow H is a great companion for that orange Kumon you have lol they look so great together!!
@xSuicide Squadx Mate. Your photos are getting so sharp, vibrant and real, its like they're gonna break through my screen and attack me! Exquisite
@xSuicide Squadx Robert I have always admired your photographic skills but this time I feel even more surprised by the photo of the Kumon in his bag, I know how difficult it is to take a picture of a figure in the bag because the bag always tends to reflect the light. Thanks for sharing your skills with us.
Wow!!! @The Moog and @Alebrije, thank you both SO much for the extremely kind and very flattering words! Honestly, this Kumon was a goddamn challenge to capture, but the time invested was very much worth it! The vibrancy you get holding it in hand deserves to be translated in images, and I’m elated I managed to do it justice!!!
@chimply.kaiju Thanks for the information Anthony, I have seen the last three in collectors photos but the first two apparently are still wild I have not seen them come to light.
Was there ever one in the lava burn (gid, black and orange) colorway? If so I need to track that down
