Post Your Paul Kaiju (PK) Collections !

I can understand you want a big pic for a collection shot, but the ones you just posted in the sales forum are this big, too. It takes a while for a 3 MB pic to load on DSL, especially if you you're doing other things. You can't even really see what you're looking at with a 3k x 4k pixel picture, so I'm not sure why anything would need to be so large. Nice shelf.

 

imgur is weird, photobucket is shit. Don't have an account with any other image hosting site, so those pics will have to do for now.

What does the host have to do with resizing you images?

Maybe you didn't understand what I was saying if you think I said they didn't look right.

 

Oh, I got what you're saying. I'm saying if you look at the images at the size you uploaded them (click the image), you can only see a small area at a time, so there's no reason to post something that big unless you're inspecting for mites or something. If you didn't get what I was saying there, you must not be aware how big they actually are. And I wasn't really asking you to change those, I have them loaded. Just, in the future, those are ridiculously large pictures. Not everyone has access to the same recourses you do.

FOMO is starting to set in. I don’t think that I’ll be at SF this year. Even though it’s my birthday weekend, we’ve got a baby on the way and a road trip to buy $500 toys is out of the question (says my fiancé..)

I don't own any PK pieces, but I did go to a show a few years back. My god, the man is talented as hell. I like what he did with the new Boss head, and I'm really digging the berserker mode Boss I've seen pictures of. I really dig Unchiman too.

 

@Vombie Insanely talented!!! And very, very well versed, and diverse! He’s got a wonderful catalogue of characters and they can all easily exist within the same universe. That paints...WHEW. Don’t even get me started on his style of airbrushing.

 

He's a sofubi treasure. He makes the world a better place.

this thread keeps ruling. PK is the best American artist out there by far. I feel lucky just getting to see the work with these super great quality photos out there. Man, the best.
Wish I wasnt a slave of capital and didnt need to pay bills so I could join in sharing my own old photos.

@gatiio I gotta start re - shooting my PK stuff now that I have a better camera, light setup and overall grasp of what I’m doin’. Paul’s definitely one of THE best to ever do it, and he consistently stays true to his vision and never deviates from originality. Just wish more peeps would get in on the sharing action! Not just here, but the boards period. But still definitely here!!!

 

@noeleaser What a great detolf unit, dude. The majority of pinks and purples that shine through both the base vinyls and paints is a very pleasant unifying aesthetic to the eye. The metallic green sprays on that black/orange marble is so unexpectedly matching, too.
