Luke definitely knows his shit. After the bodies were made, he showed me what vinyl we were pouring for the heads and I just excitingly nodded. Unfortunately, I didn't grab one of the unpainted, though.
I just picked up this guy on Lulubell. That monkey head looks like it may have multiple faces on other sides. The whole figure looks crazy, I'm excited!
When do these kind of drops normally pop up? I cant believe i missed this one lol. It just oozes weird.
Hahaha, we shall see... I know the feeling when you miss out on one of Luke's great creations, it happens too often...
Does anybody know if the lottery winners were ever picked from a week or so ago? I know Amy was under the weather and it was postponed (hope she's better now!), but haven't heard anything since.
She has barely been home a week from the hospital. I'm sure she will get around to it, just give her some time.
The monkey guy finally came in, and it is such a cool piece. I love the glittery vinyl and the monkey faces are even creepier with their redundancy. Luke is the man.
That was a Japan specific release, Ed. Never saw stateside, or [maybe] even convention settings. EDIT: Amy just posted up some pretty bad ass collabs with Luke and Siccaluna. There's three I'd love to have, but I'm very, very broke at the moment. Love the way these faces are painted!
It sure is beautiful. Clear pink vinyl works well for most sculpts and most definitely with this one. I'd love to have this version too... I wonder what the edition number was.
Definitely in need of some more Francois Le Grande colorways, it's the best toy Lulubell has put out in ages & I'm not seeing many.
He looks pretty sweet in clear, too -- It makes him extra spooky and gives off an ethereal, spectral look. I'd love to see a milky white version sometime.
wow wow wow, I liked the sculpt just fine before, but that clear pink!! I just fell in love. I think it works better with a translucent body. And the yellow chain is perf.
