have to pick up a package from mandarake at customs. like to know, do they usually put receipts (paypal, order transaction page, etc.) within the box? any info is much appreciated, thanks!
each item is usually bubble wrapped. and there is a little label on each wrap indicating your name, auction #, and price in yen paid.
I've never had any paperwork from Mandarake besides what's on the box label. You can request a lower declared value in the comments box, when placing orders, to help avoid any customs entanglements...
thanks guys!!! info is gold. actually i did and they put 2.500 Yen on paper attached to box. when packages are kept by berlin customs they will send you that paper attached to box BUT ask you to bring receipt or paypal invoice when picking it up. if you do, make sure there is corresponding info in package when they open it up, else it can get very embarrassing.
Wow. That sounds like a borderline invasion of privacy. But also a very efficient way of preventing fraud!
Like when I got the Elegab Oil shock a couple of years ago - and the US department of agriculture and fisheries had opened it up - I assume it was x-rayed and they thought I was trying to mail order some weird crustacean from Japan..... thank God it wasn't a box of Damnedrons....
