Lookin' sweet. So what are all the parts pulled from/inspired by? The torso sure reminds me of the 80s Rambo figures. Brings back a lot of memories...
So here's how it came to be...... I was at a flea market months ago and I saw this box full of broken Gi Joe parts as well as many other 80's action figures, so I bought it. I thought It would help with understanding how a lot of these figures are made and also to give inspiration. So... I was messing around trying to put back together so of those Joe's but had really no success, so I decided to try to put them together with clay and then mold them. So i put the torso and the legs together and then I was thinking wouldn't it be funny to put a Mecha Goji head on it. Then I was like it needs some arms and I didn't like any of the arms I had (plus any arms I liked would have needed to be made in a two part mold and I havent made one of those yet) so I made some arms. I was thinking tree stump arm and space arm. Then I used clay and real hands to create the hands. I guess I just wanted to make the most odd random looking creature and here it is. Im still figuring out how to do the articulation. Right now Im using tooth picks, Any ideas? I plan to do three different heads and maybe some different hands as well.
WOW thank you so much guys I will keep ya updated with more progress soon. Im going to try painting one tomorrow, after I paint a twamp thing for EVOM.
Thanks guys. Im still workin on this dude. I got to make a better hand mold, one with air vents. All the hands Iv made have hade air bubbles. And Im still working on better articulation. Ill keep ya in the loop.
Thanks guys, Yeah I still got some tweeks to do on this guy. New hands and better articulation. Great meeting you two! Aslo great to see your new project Butcher. keep me updated on your progress
