Sorry if this is a RxH newbie question, but how many sets of the M3 guys will likely be available at SDCC? I *really* want a set, but assume these are going to be leaps and bounds harder to find than a typical CC exclusive.
Annoyingly, they are starting to grow on me. The electric unpainted Chaos Beasts are very tactile. And they all make the OG ones look very simple and basic.
The Chaos Beast is a winner IMO. the Kaizer Head comes in second, but the Evil Bat still hasn't won me over completely yet. I haven't had a painted version in-hand, so hopefully this will be my first.
still don't dig this series at all, which is a great relief to my cash flow this summer! "graceful" is a weird word to apply to RxH, but I feel like these guys are lacking grace compared to their predecessors. I'm glad to see that other people are enjoying them.
Something like, say, a Marvel action figure exclusive for a Comic Con likely still has a production run of a few hundred. RxH may be doing awesome lately, with alot of great releases and such, but they're still low-production run vinyl figures. I can't imagine there'd be more than 30 or so sets of any kind of CC exclusive made. Like I said, I'm new to RxH tho, so if I'm wrong, somebody please set me straight.
yeah...well none of us really know how many are made. that's how it is... if you like it for what it is, buy it or try to. i wouldn't base my decision on how limited it is... if you miss it, put it on your want list.
Thanks for the info... I wasn't planning my purchase based on limited-ness, but rather assuming I would have a tough time finding them because of it. I think they look fantastic.
These are pretty much like any other SDCC exclusive- just as there are less made, there are a lot less people looking for them. Not to create a false sense of security, but most releases in past years haven't been that difficult to find after the fact.
What was released last year? Bruised set and the S7 mini set? Both seemed easy to track down before and after SDCC.
exactly. the bruised set (surprisingly) is not hard to find. there's no need to go crazy as most people try to hook everyone else up that don't make it there.
Sounds like the ease of accessibility by US collectors compared to most releases means there are plenty to go round.
mmmhmmm looking good, I'm a big fan of color ways that subtly enhance the sculpt without trying to overdo it. These are a perfect example of that.
The bruised set was an SDCC thing? I've had people offer me some of those individual figures for so cheap I almost bought them to use as customs! I will just have to keep an eye out then.
the chaos was offered at sdcc a few years back.....the others were just regular releases if i remeber correctley!? EDIT: Vombie told whats up!
The distro shops had thier exclusives. Only Bigaro was from S7, Mutant for Lulubell & Evil for Roto, each had them respectivly at SDCC and a few for web sales. Bigaro was announced as TT's originally but that didn't happen. Chaos was at S7 the prior year, 07.
