    Guys,

Daniel and I think it's high time to make a BASK Field Trip to the venerable Kimono My House in Emeryville. It's the oldest running Japanese Toy Store in the United States and a really cool place to visit.

How about Sat, November 8th at Noon?

Excellent idea. I've never been! is the suggestion that we meet up somewhere else first, or meet there? Seems kinda tough to get to on BART ... I gave my car to the SPCA last year.

    Dean +1,

I've got two spots in my car. I can pick you +1 at the Glen Park BART station at 11:30am on Sat, Nov. 8th.

lemme know if that sounds good.

Ok, so for those of us in South Bay, my ride has 2-3 spots left.

There's Joe and me (akum6n) so far.

Tentatively, I think we should meet up at my place in Mountain View at 11 a.m.-ish on 11/8. People can park in our open lot in back. I'll PM you the address/directions if interested.

So it looks like we're probably going to meet up outside the KMH building. Arrival time will probably be about noon then?

Joe is a VERY picky eater. We might have to do the food court in Emeryville.

food court is cool with me. Vik's looks too far away anyways....

I eat anything. Either is fine with me.

Slack- KMH sells mostly robots and die-cast (vintage and modern). There was some vinyl there, but it is weighted more towards tokusatsu stuff than kaiju.

 no don't change the plans because of me odds are I won't be able to make it anyway but if I do I'll find something...

For the peeps heading down I have good news and bad news:

Bad news: Kimono my house is closing its doors for good.

Good news: It won't be closed until the ned of febuary.

more bad news: Joe bunny, Karen and I just ransacked the place yesterday! ;)

Thanks Alex (but not for buying all the stuff!). ;P

This is actually the reason for the out-of-the-blue visit. I didn't want to say anything about the closing since KMH hasn't made the announcement publicly (i.e., on their website).
