Ha ha ha...as I read your above reply she came on the radio (JJJ) with the first single. It certainly is bouncy though and cruisy. I like stories in songs too.

No, used to work there. So I know the area really well. I'm out in Temple City now.

lily allen is really good; love the ska influence ... damiano is ehh. if that's LA's best pizza then i'm unimpressed. terrell owens was sitting on one of the benches out front when i left though, which was funny.

Glad to see some Lily Allen love here. It makes me happy every time I listen to it.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Casa Bianca in Eagle Rock.

These guys make some excellent pies. Long lines and no credit cards or checks accepted; that's how they roll.

    (obviously) CALIFORNIA Pizza Kitchen :D
    Abbots Pizza in Venice
    Vinnys Pizza in Westchester
Beach Pizza in Playa del Rey

I pass by there all the time! I always go to Frys and shop at the Best buy and the Target at the Empire Center. Isnt Insomniac Games in the same complex? Im thinking about applying there

Pizza is cool and all, but thats what Ny and Chicago are for. Instead, I think we need a thread on the best burritos in LA, cause I know a few joints that that bring a tear to my eye with how good their burritos are :D

i don't know... pretty sure the best california pizza can handle it's own against chicago and n.y.

My favorites (in no particular order):

    Pizzeria Mozza (great combinations)
    Abbot's (great thin crust)
Zelo Pizza (the cornmeal crust is great)
    Petrillo's (old school)

The best pizza I ever had in California was about as good as the worst pizza I ever had in Pennsylvania.

    (which is not good)

LOL, I was gonna respond with "they have pizza in CA?" I can't say I know, I've only been twice and being from Chicago, pizza was NOT on the "to do" list of eats.

The worst pizza I've ever had in my life was in St. Louis. Horrible. But I love pizza so much I'd eat it again.

Naturally, the closer you are to the border the better it gets. It's also related to the other axiom that the dirtier it is, the better it gets. If a Chinese or Mexican place doesn't have a "C" grade then it ain't authentic! :)

    serio.
every time i go to mexico, i needs me my tacos!
they have their little taco carts with wheels, with meat wrapped around a metal stick that they hack at and chop. who knows what's been going on with that meat but it is delicious.
i remember when i was 12 or so years old, and i ate 12 tacos in one seating. good stuff.

here in california, the only tacos worth mentioning are the ones from taco trucks. the ones in restaurants just don't have enough flavor.

    anyway's, back to pizza.
not in L.A., but Zachary's up here in Oakland would probably change some minds about california pizza
