any celga members remember getting the bill for the yearly fee a few months back? How much was it? I've got an invoice showing I owe more than I thought and the only thing I can think of was that I never paid this new yearly fee.

I received a bill recently as well and asked what it was for because I always pay my invoices in full. Apparently they do a year end review of their books and any outstanding balances are invoiced prior to closing off that years invoices.

As it turned out, I had never been sent an invoice for one of the items I won so I did indeed have a balance owing after all. Although I had no issue with paying it - since it did owe the money - I did have an issue with the way a blind invoice was suddenly sent with no information as to what exactly I was paying for.

This may be what's up with you too Joe?

One of the reasons I quit Celga. I don't have enough time to keep track and if they can't do it. . .

yeah that's kinda bad. I stopped using them as well, mostly because I asked for my account to be closed 4 times, and then got an invoice for the yearly fee anyway.

i use a different service now, and they're a lot nicer with better exchange rates and fees.

    tokyo buyers.

i've used them 3 or 4 times now, their office in the US is here in MA nearby, and they're friends with a lot of the DX guys i know.

the last order i bought on a monday and had the following tuesday as i recall.

last i checked, their rate was 90/$1

damn, that exchange rate makes all the difference.

but everything else seems about the same from what I can tell comparing an invoice i received today

I don't know what my extra fee is for, I asked and they sent me some invoice report thing that didn't explain it either. The difference is $48 which I thought might be the membership fee that I didn't remember paying but it looks like that amount might be too much for the yearly fee. I guess I will just have to ask them again if they can explain...

they are trying to get me for $48 fee also. I have not used celga for a while now gonna have to end the service if this is a regular occurring fee.

so Celga just cannot tell me what the $48 was for, even when I specified the invoice number and date. Seems kind of odd. They say they can't carry over last years info so it's all gone. You would think they would be able to tell you what the money is from that they claim you owe them.

Cant carry over last years info ??? Thats crazy .. and one of many reasons why I also left.

How is that possible, they say you owe them money but cant show for what, bullshit. Seems like the year end crunch and with lack of sales they are trying to make it up elsewhere.

I wouldn't pay them if they can't tell you what it is, what kind of company doesn't keep books from the previous year? or in this case, probably the previous month?

I closed my account back in august. I got an invoice which I can no longer view, but I could go back in my CC files and see if i have the amount for you guys.

it says on the FAQ there is a $48 annual fee for Gold Members.

I don't understand why they can't just tell people that. If you have x number of gold customers, chances are they're all going to ask the same question when the invoice shows up. Best to have a form email to let them know when they ask.

To make the comment that they can't provide last year's statements is pretty scary. I'm pretty sure all businesses operating here are required to keep 7 years worth of books. I might be off, but it isn't normal that one week into the New Year and they can't find information for an invoice for a month ago.
