    Thanks for the heads-up.

Despite what the graphic may show, Marusan will not have Hedorah toys at the show.

I'll have a nice clump of fun at Rampage's booth. I went back and forth a few times on whether I would join him in person. As i miss NY, but it's just not in the cards for me to go in person. I'm saving my mental travel nickels up for Summer Slime.

I’ll have collabs with PK, Science Patrols, Splurrt, Datadub/Figlab, Suragamark, Blitzkrieg as well as my own stuff and stuff supplied by Bwana and Marmit/SHB. Oh - and a tub/junk/yardsale, and more!

Big thanks to @JMRampage and his stapler!

Mr. Sunguts and his cyclops friend have been enjoying the show:

It is pretty darn hot in the venue but the kaiju are moving at the Marusan table. The Asaka Kubo Booska 450 and King Godras 450 are sold out, and Royal Apes are almost gone.

Super7 has some Gargamel goodies at their table, sets of clear Dokuromans and two 2022 Lucky Bags.

Second day was as hot as the first and it seemed like fewer people showed up.

Got a little pile of Marusan figures to sell, will post them soon.

There were incredibly few people there this past weekend. No west coasters, no international crowd (understandably and expected), and even very few east coast regulars. I’d wager the actual sofubi collector audience in attendance was something like 25% of the Summer Slime crowd LAST YEAR. Thankfully I mostly had smalls that appeal to more than just the sofubi heads.

oh - and it was brutally hot. That sticky, prickly, itchy and stagnant kind of hot. Like a human culture Petri dish. Blargh….

    See you guys at slimetime!!!

Yeah, between our three tables we were sort of the "Little Tokyo" section of Five Points. I think the people that bought things from us came away happy, though. (And sweaty.)

I found this year's show to be quite refreshing in many ways.
I honestly have had con-burnout, due to the size, or just the chaos that ensues.
DCON I love, but it's certainly not the same shoe since moving to Anaheim.
And with the pandemic, and numerous delays and hiccups, people going nuts over digital collectibles, I had low expectations for Five Points.
Never the less, I was still planning on going considering a lot of friends would be in town, especially from Japan.
Immediately, I found parking right outside the entrance, which is like unheard of in NY.
I probably got done walking around the entire show in an hour, but nothing felt too crowded, and there really weren't any hyped booths where there was a major campout (if there was, I must've missed it). I felt like I was able to see every booth and buy something if I wanted to.
I even had enough time to pass on something, check out and play with said something that two of my friends had bought, and go back to the booth and pick it up.
(it was the Sunguts Megalodon, holy shit it's amazing).

I was walking around with my daughter too, so that already had put me in a different mindset walking the convention, but it still felt more intimate and smaller. I'd even say it was smaller than the first 5PF. Overall, it was a good show, I didn't like the venue so much, it was way too hot, but hey, it was very Brooklyn.
I very much want Five Points to continue, and I hope more artists come back in future years. I know vendors were an issue due to covid, so I can only imagine the headache for the organizers.

I walked past the Marusan booth several times, I failed to introduce myself @Roger. Sorry! Next time.

    No problem, next time!

That Megalodon is crazy. What was the price on that?

I saw the price, and I was like, "Wait... that thing is $200?" circled the con, played with the one my friend had, went back and I saw the neck piece turned around, and I was immediately sold.
I was like, "That's fucking brilliant" and the red marble is so killer.
Here's a pic from his table for the size comparison:

He has done other colors, but they're not nearly as nice as this one. Major Shin Godzilla vibes.

And the one I ended up with has way more red in the pour, very happy with it.

Yeah, definitely. A week later, I still feel fortunate that we all were able to do something like this again. I hope there's another one coming, and if it's in the same space I hope it's in April or May.

Sorry not to have been there. Sounds like a more manageable show, more human, nicer.
