A friend pointed out that there are a bunch of Godzilla movies up on YouTube for free right now. What's odd is that they're credited to Shout Factory, but the thumbnails show the Criterion artwork. Also, at least one of them, Godzilla vs. Hedorah, is offered subbed rather than dubbed:
I offer for your reference Tubi's Godzilla offerings: https://tubitv.com/search/godzilla Also, free, with ads, usually. Sadly, their search also coughs up a comic that never shoulda been, called Donzilla. Hey, it is what it is.
I didn't know about Tubi's offerings, that's great that these are available on more platforms. I created a playlist for the YouTube ones: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLroHr2G0qcQbCN2Rbu1rddt4CLv1Cv4Ot
Also, I would be remiss not to mention the Ultraman, Ultra 7 franchises, as well as Ultra Q: https://tubitv.com/series/910/ultra-q on tubi.. i mean Kanegon!
Oh, wow, thank you! I see that these are downloadable via youtube-dl if you put in the direct links to the episodes. Now to do that another 27 times (and then another 39 times, then another 47 times, etc.).
Where did the copy for the Ultra series episodes come from? They look like straight machine translations. Here's the description of the final Ultraseven episode:
