not just ike's but daimaru sushi http://www.baycitizen.org/food/story/sa ... s-forward/ i guess this means i really need to go to ike's before they close, since i've never actually been
The sandwiches are still great, but a couple of years ago the lines were much smaller and the sandwiches were much bigger. It was fun to sit and chill and be able to talk to Ike about sandwiches. What a shitty way to go out. Stupid neighbors. I guess city living is not for everyone.
Sounds like Ike's should sue their landlord for damages and find another place with more capacity. Businesses come and go. Seems that they could find another commercial place right now for less rent anyway since so many business are gone.
i read somewhere about the crap the tenants up stairs were doing to get ike's to pay up. horrible. i'll do a search for it.
are they opening another spot though? I thought I recalled that being in the works when we were out there in January.
Ike's has been in the paper and news the other day when a Judge gave them their final eviction notice. According to the news report, Ike is going to focus on his shop in Redwood Shores. Uncertain if he's going to open a new spot in SF. I bet he does
shit. i better load up on ike's. i've got 9 more sandwiches to cross off my ike's wish list (19 have been crossed off ).
Weird. Thought the 28th was the last day. Just rolled by and there's a line still waiting for sandwiches. Did things change?
I dont know the full details but. I think someone read the fine print of their lease and I think everything is going to ok Thats what I hear. Speaking of big ass lines has anyone seen the Bi Rite Ice scream line
Wouldn't it be funny if they actually were closed and people still went and stood in line just to bug the a-hole neighbors that were responsible for there closing.
