My kappa love is a new thing so I don't have much to show. I'd love to see what other people have..especially vintage stuff.

I'll start things off with this wind up swimmer..

I really like the ones you have in the first picture! Who made those?

Michael and I have been going to the local japanese market to get sick on cookies and hunt for demon stickers, and this is the only one that I have kept..

They are by Bear Model and were originally sold as part of sets of three with other Yokai.

wow, love these kappas. I am surprised there are not more here, though. I would love to see some of the more recent larger ones. I know Marmit has done a few and also a few other companies. The ones here already, though, are wonderful and now I have to add them to my want list.

The Moog - who did that blue kappa in the second picture?

Now those are ultra-cool. Are they customs or regular releases? Who made them?

    God, I love those.

Thats a Tomy mini that comes boxed. They are usually described as 'Candy' toys. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

A look at the smaller Kappas...

I began collecting with gashapon, so these are mostly gashopon figures (and I do have extras of a few of the smaller ones, if anyone is looking, and I can tell you where to find the plush ones)

And I myself am looking for the bigger ones now, like the other Marmit and the awesome ones earlier in this thread. Love kappas!

Ive never seen that lighter green marmit kappa before. I like it more than I already liked the darker one.

Last time I was at Billy Galaxy they had one of those big ball looking plush kappas. They also had an inflatable one too.

Yeah, it's not on the marmit website - I went through the whole archives. Which makes me wonder what else is not on there. It's a glow version.

Great thread idea. I love kappas. My favorite maker of kappas is definitely Shikaruna Kobo. Don't own any yet but I will! Nice stuff everyone, keep those photos coming!

These are some of my favorite pieces. Late 70s or early 80s I believe.
