Wow - these are fantastic!! That vibrant green one (#12, glow I assume) is killer. And for some reason, I'm such a sucker for metallic blue and green paints (#6).

Do any of you have either the GID Red (Lottery) or GID Purple/Gold (Event Exclusive) you could post pictures of? Those are probably my favorites! The photos so far are great!!

I dont know of any GID red, maybe I am thinking of something totally different. If this one of the dayglo paint GIDs that were prizes a few years back? Its killing me because I am only missing a couple of these and if this exists I am gonna poop my pants in frustration.

You should post some of those Beams customs, Dennis.

By this do you mean to say that there is an M1 Hedorah that glows RED? Or that there's a standard GID with red paint on it? I would love to see M1 use GID vinyl that glows red...especially on Hedorah!

I hope Michael doesn't mind me lifting this from his Club Tokyo database--will delete if it's not cool, Michael--but in the database, it is labeled Glow Red (Lottery). No other information other than a release date of 2006.

Pretty sure that the "red" refers to the paint, not the glow color. I haven't seen any red-glow (like Onell Design's stuff) M1GO toys... yet.

The key word in this sentence is "yet". Or at least, let's hope it is!

I don't want to imply that I know about what's coming down the pike. I don't, but I have been asking them if their factory can make the red glow stuff. So far I've only seen Onell Design toys that use it.

Would you guys mind discussing the new mid-size M1GO Hedorah in this thread or should I create a new one? Because I have questions...

It says M1 Hedorah, so I don't see a problem.

Wow. How well do three of those fit inside the eyeball? Are they squishy? And how does the eyeball come apart?

I really like some of the new paint jobs seen on these guys! Would be great if they made it over to the standard size Hedorah!

Some of them have. There are a couple of the full size ones in the for sale threads now, check bonemask and Sanjeev's postings.

There are some mid-size that are based off the standard-size - like the Beams and the red vinyl ones. But I'd like to see standards based off some of the new mid-size colorways - specifically that GID (?) rainbow and Zazahn (?) on the far left. Maybe that crazy purple one center-right too. And the ones in eyeball #2 look great too...though the two metallics are a bit too similar.

Three fit perfectly inside the eyeball - that's how they are packaged, inside the eyeball, inside a bag with header card. Each one is bagged inside the eye, too. It's all made from the regular M1 vinyl. I had to heat up the eyeball to pop it open.

That sounds both maddening and exciting at the same time... having to heat up the 'shell' to pop it open and get your toys inside. Wild.

So I received one of the little Hedorahs in the mail yesterday (the original yellow version), and wow, it is little. I'd read the reviews, seen the comparison shots, but I guess I had a different view of the toy in my mind's eye. I thought it was going to be around the size of Marusan's 2/3 scale repros.

For $25 (2100 yen, more or less), getting this toy in the egg would feel like a good purchase. Getting it for $20 more without the egg makes it feel a little less so. I guess once you've "been to the mountain" and purchased this stuff in Japan for the original prices you get spoiled.

It is cool, though. The nice thick vinyl and authentic paint job that you expect from an M1GO toy, plus it's more articulated than most other modern sofubi in that size range. It's the last toy purchase I'll be making for a little while but eventually I'd like to hunt down more, at least the first BEAMS pink version and perhaps some of the Gezoras.
