Marbled Madness!

He’s so subtly marbled until you light him up!

 

Got this guy recently. Really technically impressive, at least to me.

is the rainbow marble the actual vinyl or just transparent directional paints?

not paints, but it may have been a black and white marble they dyed. I've heard conflicting explanations

the dyeing makes sense. Since the head joint seems to have the one color that connects it and creates cohesion. It’s also two tones on each section, so I can imagine how it was dyed

 

Didn’t Zollmen do that same thing with some Mazas?

Never heard about dyeing marbled vinyl before. I've assumed some clear vinyls get dyed to achieve tints and preserve transparency.

My immediate guess on this was that it was marbled black and white molding sprayed with gradations of translucent paint.

I have that same Sunguts Honengyo, my favorite purchase from last year.
