Who are the Millennial Masters?? What ancient wisdom will they impart to us mortals? What do they consider a proper Children Toy?

since nobody in the states can sell toys to people under 14 yrs old I hope this isn't a header card.

This set rules but the header card is a terrible idea. Every company in the US is jumping through hoops to comply with the new child safety regulations. We are explicit about not marketing or selling toys to children. It could only take one release like this to bring the hammer down on everyone.

I know my opinion might seem paranoid and harsh but we are all living in a legal gray area right now in the US. So it is upsetting when, someone who would be unaffected by a change in how the law is enforced, chooses to break it so blatantly.

I assume you don't know much about US customs laws so it probably didn't seem like a big deal. If you want to do this again please write "children toy" it in Japanese and nobody will ever care.

For the record it is companies like Mattel who would use this against companies like Super7 and Illanena.

Is this related to the new disclaimer on ebay when you sell a toy? It says something about what it contains and you need to be aware, blah, blah, blah...

I mean little kids shit should not have toxic crap in it, but this is not the same thing. Next thing you know all cars will require a bumper sticker that states "Kids should not suck on tail pipe while vehicle is running." or "Do not place head under tire when automobile is in motion, may cause harm to child."

Of course I come from the generation that was given lawn darts to play with! :D

yes. The new law means toys need to be tested before imported to the states. The testing would cost $3-5000 per toy, per run. The other option is to import them as collectibles and pay a duty (I think 8%).

Wait, so what is a toy?
Is it dependent on how it is marketed?
Does this mean prices are going up at S7?

I fucking hate legal issues like that. That's why I'm quiting the law field, I can't be part of a system that looks to cookie-cutter everything in the name of money and ease for themselves and at the same time destroys so much that is important for every day living like individuality, creativity and the long lost idea of "the personal touch" on everything from toys to health care to eating. Fear driven ideas to profit off of ignorance. Hate it.

I see where Pogue is coming from, it sucks that, though it says "13 and up" on it, the phrase "Childrens Toy" just as a title could cause so much harm. It's also interesing in a good way to hear what it's like from the toy producers POV, so thanks Pogue for the insight.

So, legal issues aside, when and where will these be available? I take it they're all one-offs, from the looks of them. (And they look great, BTW).

I think some were at SDCC and from pics some MIGHT have been at WF too. I think it's a cool idea and it's neat to see 3 different styles come together. I'd like to see a set of Monster Parade or Ghostland figures done in this vein too.
