Great score Chris! I'm bummed I missed out on lot 19. I gave myself a small budget, left an absentee bid and missed it by $25 bucks because I was on the road and thought I could use my damn iphone when it went live. : P
I took a gander at most of those large lots and some of them were amazing deals! I mean take lot 7 which had every CCP figure you could think of. In pic 2 I saw both bakula, a dustman, not to mention about 20 other figures. Those 3 alone would cost you over three bills on YJA and it went well below that. I wish I had loot to buy some them but I had to put all my eggs in the one basket I really wanted!
Damn el Maz, you beat me on #37. I only need 4 figures from that lot, so if you want to offset your losses a little, let me know! I was pretty targeted, and scored on all but three of the vintage auctions I bid on. Go team!
My scores from the Morphy auction: I know Sanjeev and vintagevinyl made some nice vintage scores but I'll let them tell about that (if they want to.) It was a great time. Met lots of the ToyBox DX guys and saw the gang of four robots auctioned off. Now, who won the Peguila???
Nice Guiro-Seijin and Black King! Gorbagos is crazy too! Looks like I won a lot as I got an invoice in the mail...
Get in line. That was a pretty handsome gathering of Buta's. I partnered up with someone for #37 but when it hit $1,300 we dropped out. *sigh*
I watched that hawaiian Peguila auction. It just kept going up an up.....Some vintage scholar school me: just how rare is it? I knew that Buta lot was going to go for big money. I think the lure of Butanohana is that you really never see the older ones for sale (besides recent unloading of new old deadstock from the Thrashout show). Congrats el maz! Just got my invoice and it's much less than I thought it would be.
Got the removable mask Kamen Rider figs, MFV Tekkaman, and large M1gou Ultraman from the Jumbo lot thanks to some dealing with the winner. It was so much fun being there.
same here. i was pleasantly surprised they did not charge me the 6% sales tax i figured i would have to pay (which is what their site said). must be because i live in CA and they are in Pennsylvania? shipping/insurance for my 6 lots is only $86, which i think is more than fair. oh, and thanks to all the well-wishers on the #37 buta lot and the other buta's in lot #9. to be honest with you all, i dont even know exactly what is in that lot other than what i could squint and count (23 or 24 of them?) and make out from the online picture. i also didnt think the price would go that high...i just put the max at 1300 and said to hell with it. once the dust settles and i get them in hand, if there is anything i am not into or doubles of what i already have i will make sure to let you guys know.
Nicely done Mark! Those are fantastic and in such amazing shape. It really sounds like everybody came out a winner here. Pretty awesome event.
