February's lottery is done and people have been informed of results, so here's the latest. New kaiju in the outer space monster series is SATAN KILLER, a satellite that became a monster. I really dig the drill nose and his back fins are like a stegosaurus. And that hot pink Devil UFO! Ooh lala! Of course a sky blue Mr. X looks amazing as well.
I was fortunate enough to win all three, and I'm loving the classic look on Mr. X's paint job and the fun Satan Killer. The pink Devil UFO is for my buddy, as I already have the yellow version.
Yeah I've got the first gen Mister X so I got this one for my co-worker's son. He's going to flip his lid. Edit: at this point I think I'm going to be collecting the Devil UFOs like I am the King Smogs. That clear pink is going to look goooood next to my GID one.
I really like the sculpt of Satan Killer. I think the name bums me out a little as a) I don't see how it fits and b) I don't want anything to kill Satan so I find myself rooting for his failure in a battle lol But in all seriousness this was a killer set of releases. I need to get my elegab game back on track.
I think it's a pun, as the satellite supposedly is one that was orbiting Saturn, so Saturn/Satan via katakana.

Apparently Naritada is going to have a gallery show in Kyoto this April celebrating 10 years of his figures. Wild!
Has it really been 10 years already? I remember way back when, the first Monster Patrol Car and little cuties were released, and Mr. N was nice enough to accept international orders. He sent a personal email back to me, and was super nice. I still have my Monster Patrol toys (great design and so cute!). Congratulations Mr. N!
A gallery show! What I would give to be able to go. If there is anyone I would wish all success for in this game It's Nari-sama. He's such a nice guy! There's also a new magazine coming out called Dust Catcher, apparently they gonna have an piece/interview with Naritada in their first number. At least I'm planning to order a copy. For me that is a must read.

Digging the clear pink on these new drops for sure. I was lucky enough to score Meteorg. Pretty damn excited for him. I really do love all Elegabs crazy unusual sculpts and characters. Some of them are quite out there.

Yeah he's really something else. It was a lot of fun talking (as much as our limited understanding of each other) with him. I found out that Tunnelon is his favorite of his creations and that the sign above the tunnel is from where he grew up in Hiroshima.
