First time I'm hearing that - care to elaborate?

For some reason I thought I had that King Smog in the bag, I must have jinxed myself. It was going to be my first elegab anything. Did anyone on the board actually win one? I'd love to see the glow shots.

I got in on the King Smog. As soon as I have it next month I'll share pics for sure.

That would be my dream scenario, right there.
(I have been on a frog binge lately, I'm pretty sure I want to become a frog breeder at some point in my life making crazy Pacman frog morphs.)

That's actually super awesome. If you start breeding crazy Pacman Frog variants, please let me know because I love them and would be a buyer if selling for sure. They are just so cool. First time i saw one eat a mouse I couldn't believe it.

It's just what I hear from vinyl makers. I'll ask for an explanation lol

So I guess it you try to pull/ cast clear vinyl in hot or humid weather (humidity is the key) it will be filled with air bubbles and will be cloudy as hell.

@AgentRavage Thank you; I spent the last 24 hours wondering if this actually was a joke or not..!

I never joke ;) I'm fascinated by the sofubi making process. I ask lots of questions:mrgreen:

All clear vinyl is a real pain and very quirky to get good quality consistent results plus it shrinks over time much more than solids.

GID also is a real bastard since pigments separate very fast during a processing session.

Doug, honest thanks again for all the contributions you have made on here as of late.

I just have to be totally honest. When i first saw Elegabs pictures of his figures i was in no way impressed with what i saw. It just looked like a crazy mess. Then i was finally able to see one of his figures in person and saw the detail and creativity and then i learned a little about each one. Very clever fun stories. So my mind was starting to change. I also really need to thank @TattooDougHardy for his dedication to this and intriguing me to enter the last lotto. So now i have my first Elegab piece and have seen several more sculpts in person and i can say Elegab went from something i had zero interest in to probably my new favorite artist. Definitely top 5. But really, Doug, thank you for your dedication to spreading so much of the good Elegab love. Also Nari is just the coolest.

I must have chose a bad time to start collecting Elegab because I can't find any good stuff that isn't sold out.

My apologies, as my joking tone probably contributed to that. I was going to also mention that I am fairly sure that liquid vinyl can be effected by the atmosphere just like curing resin can, although to a lesser extent. Just like baked goods!

I've seen some very bubbly clear sculpts in the past I'm sure people just pushed through. It's good that there is some level of quality control with these runs.

Sorry for the delay on these photos; I'm only now really getting over my jet lag from coming home a week ago. Yeesh.

Anyway: it's DISK KAPPA! This is the beauty that Mr. Shintani developed last year but has huge problems molding. He's great!

This side shot really shows where the problem comes from; that attachment part on the lower part of the UFO causes lots of molding problems.

As you can see, the UFO was later recycled for the Devil UFO. Good move as it's really a neat part of the Disk Kappa and would have been a shame to not use at all.

Footprints! I love that Mr. Shintani is doing these lately. When I was a kid in the 70s a footprint on a vinyl kaiju was a really internal part of the mystique of the kaiju itself and imagined finding these prints in the wreckage of a city after a kaiju attack!

Disk Kappa is really an amazing sculpt overall. The skin texture is unlike any other I've seen on a sofubi kaiju, and the colors are, as always with Elegab creations, top notch. I'm super stoked that I was able to get one of these after purchasing a bunch of figures!

@TattooDougHardy that is amazing. That's a lot of figures to buy to get that little bugger. I am eagerly collecting my points and just hope I can make it and get one. Once again, mad props to you for the Elegab dedication and love. Great photos too as always. I would LOVE to see a pic of your entire Elegab gang.
