thanks. she's from a series of figures by japanese pop artist keiichi tanaami. the series is called "the roaring 60's" and is based off characters found in his artwork/illustrations.
That is a Giant "Pretty Godzilla" made by Sofvi Life. Good luck, though, I have only ever seen one other anywhere He's not in dancing pose, but he does have hinged elbows for menacing poses Here is my favorite pic of him (he's my favorite piece!)
Nice shot of the Sofvi and m1 mini, Randy. I missed the Sofvi Life Goji a year ago on YJA (it went for like an unbelievable 3000yen or something like that). Its been haunting me since.
Thanks- thats a brain that I've painted and stripped about 3-4 times (I'm just never happy with it) and now its permanently stained a faint orange on the body and green on the head. I thought it looked nice in that pic. One more- a B&W shot of my marbled skullwing. the feet have some nice marbling to them.
Na, it's an original sculpt - I've still never found another Goji with a head/face quite like this. And it's huge! Sadly, it would seem that nobody knows a whole lot about SofviLife. 99% sure it's another Marmit off-shoot, like Giga Brain. They make some badass 'sleeping' Goji's too, which is probably their most commonly seen piece. One sculpt is in a sitting position, and the other is laying down. Check out ToadLickr's Flickr for a hell of a sleeping collection. Oh, and kist - I like how it looks as if they're riding a roller coaster together
What Bert said. It's for number 55 (has it on the back of the figure), Hideki Matsui (not Lincecum). He played for the Yomiuri Giants and is nicknamed, "Godzilla." The toy is made by Bandai and has a pretty slick little feature: turning his cap moves the eyes within the head. Simple, I know, but I think it's pretty charming.
