New one from me. I used layered , colored halftone dots for the front image, and a found photo from an old IBM brochure for the back- although I may completely change the back to an anatomy drawing if I get the time.
Excellent work Jeff. I guess I read too many cheap comics, but that dotted half-tone colouring always appeals to me. Very nice incorporation of the IBM art, the GB specs on the board are perfect.
I've been uploading some of mine to a Tumblr that I just started. Thanks to everyone that has allowed me to use their scans so far. If anyone else is up for contributing or allowing me to use their scans, please let me know. The blog is here: omochart.tumblr.com For now, here are some of my recent scans.
I would say the Mockpilot packaging was one of the best hands down packaging in that last few years. Everything about was just awesome.
Wow. Some real nice ones there, Bitterpill. Especially that illustrated PK one. Did he do the artwork himself for that?
^ Thanks ! 99% sure that's PK artwork on that backing card. I thought I saw the flip side to it earlier in this thread, but now I can't find it the other side has art from somebody on the boards I believe....
Posted this in the Mockshock thread a while back. Now you've got me curious who made the design, I just assumed Paul did both sides... Edit: PK said on IG the artwork is his, Melissa did the coloring.
I thought it might have been in the DesignerCon thread, but it appears I was trippin'. I did go to the 'Mockshock' thread however, and noted in your post you said the following ( maybe this is what I was remembering ? ) "Dade's colors remind me of Snow White for some reason... " Who is Dade ?
Mockpilot comes with two heads. "Dade" is one of them. Back story: From PK: DADE Q is the daughter of Dr. VelmQ (to become Salamander Joe) and fights for Daddy's cause. She is the evil twin of MOCKPILOT. The Salamander man used replicated DNA from DADE Q, and her childhood Mockpet, to create Mockbat and Mockpilot merged with some human and "earth creature" junk code which usually makes his creations rebel against him.
would love to see a simple book of these images.... it would probably be a nightmare to get permission from everybody though...
