mine glows really well... since my shelves are not under a light, most of my glowies pick up the ambient charge better. however if i set the rose next to another figure under a lamp to compare.. watch out.
This thing glows!? kidding ,The sculpt is a total home run that it can be molded in puke green and still be a thing of beauty. I'm hooked!
Me too, It doesn't seem to be a particularly hard toy to acquire and it's strange how folks are taking the fast route to collecting and paying all kinds of insane prices for it. I suspect though that S7 will be making more than enough figures on the next issue to counteract this negative trend. I just hope the folks paying the flipper prices are coveting the toy for what it is. A fantastically designed, flawlessly sculpted, and all around wonderful vinyl toy.
on one hand, it is sad to see the greed (since for the most part we have functioned on RFSO over the past years). but, that is the nature of the beast. this is a crossover figure. it appeals to the eastern and western folks. and let's face it, it's an awesome sculpt. on the other hand though, this is a good thing for s7 and for josh. if people were putting these on ebay and they were selling for half of retail it would be a bad sign. but this shows that josh is on fire right now, which will really help him get more exposure and open more doors for his fine art. i call this the JLED circa 2005 effect. and i wish him great success!
once that first one on ebay went for so high, I can personally vouch that many people who have never asked for a piece of japanese made vinyl have been asking about this piece. so there's no surprise as all that these are showing up a bunch over there. the good thing is that these folks will probably kill the flipper market for this sculpt and the people who really want them will be able to get them for retail or a little more. right now I would be willing to bet that a portion of the people who bought these got them only to sell because of the one that sold for a bundle last month. I'd say it will probably happen for the next few versions as well... thankfully I was able to get the pink from a kind soul, but really bummed to have passed on the red and green version...these bottomfeeders will just make the search last longer. Me too. I suspect all of us who truly love the figure and don't flip are bummed about it. Flipping is bad enough in the J-vinyl scene but when something hits big with the "western toy" fans, oh, man. Flip city.

Oh yeah, I'd definitely wait that long if I really had too. I've waited that long and longer to get toys that are on my Grail list. The time frame I referenced in my post was actually specific to how long it took me to get a particular JLED toy at a more normal price again.
it could be worse... i bought the red as my first VR. kept it for a bit. then sold it for retail. now i'm back on the hunt... DOH!

be careful man you are stepping into dangerous territory, me and my GF have seperate display spaces, the only place our collections mingle is artist sections, on the blue rose I ordered 2 and got one and had to be the dick that said my rose
Yeah I'm not too worried, although she did take a few of my Biskup toys to display on her desk at work. I did draw the line when she claimed my Pushead hp skull captain as hers. Buying 2 might be a good idea though.
mine kidnapped an orange unpainted muscamoot, definately better than having a GF that bitchs or gets all weird about toy collecting wondering if we will ever see another unpainted sold as a blank, or a S7 monster family set???
You can order two? Seriously I never thought you could do that since these where so in demand and to give others a chance at one. I could have bought an extra to paint. Oh what I would do for a chance to do a small run of "Plague" roses. hint hint No serious
