Hahahah...I just made a comment about him on the Gargamel section. He says "I just collect kaiju now."
I would have put this in the Whatever section since it's not a Japanese toy...nor is he japanese. I do have to say, as crappy a figure as people say, you have to give him something for doing what he wants and accomplishing it.

I guess he got an 'A' for effort.

Definitely got to give the guy props for what he's doing.
Hell, it looks a lot better than other crap being put out.

Yeah props, even though the figure looks like a Mu**y with a horn on the head. Just wish he would have come up with a more original sculpt if he was going to put in all that effort.

He came on selling his Humping Crocs and I think some other resins that were not warmly received.

Yeah, that's exactly why I was hesitant to criticize his work originally, but on the other hand, what was originally shown (besides the humpy crocs) looked like a cross between Dero and something KAWS might do, and there was that weirdness around someone else hyping his work while pretending not to know him ... eh whatever. Maybe this is easy to say as a Westerner but I'd love to see contemporary toys from Southeast Asia that showed some regional cultural influence, as Japanese toys continue to do. Think about things like the demons or shadow puppets of Indonesia and Bali ... excellent imagery that might "inform" modern vinyl toys very nicely. I love that we have an increasingly global culture but sometimes it seems to be at the expense of the regional differences that make it all interesting.

    Know what I mean? ...

It sure would. It was cool of you to ask the artist. I suspect some day we'll see this sort of thing cross into the contemporary toy world. In the meantime, the authentic puppets from the region are so beautiful.
