@Headhunter Your posts are mostly noise. Just like the one that started this entire discussion -- Sonic x Sanrio plushies posted in a thread about sofubi. Then you get defensive about being called out on it. Then you delete your initial post. Come on.

Sadly with all these new sofubi makers jumping on the "ugly sculpt" bandwagon, there's too much to choose from.
I'm still waiting for someone to make a two-headed, rotting, cyborg giant with a penis club. That's when we'll know we hit rock bottom.

Not necessarily the fugliest but just taking lame to a whole new level!

 

I guess some of these new makers really are ripping their toy ideas from other toys, AND don't have the originality to design their own color schemes as well... No wonder they were throwing their toy at every painter with an airbrush, left to their own devices they're just ripping other people's!

 

I don't even know what to say about this one, other than the fact that I want it to stay far away from me.

 

Really should have chromed the inside of the molds for a sculpt like this.. matte finish vinyl does not suit the character at all. Looks like a fucking cheeto in yellow vinyl.. I feel like I'm gonna get cheeto dust on my fingers just touching it

 

I'd really like to see one of these in hand for some 360 visuals, but this image looks like one of the most forced sculpts I've seen in a minute. The body doesn't look too bad, but there's way too much goin' on in the face. I definitely don't hate it, though.

 

That picture has pretty awful lighting. I thought it looked like an old chap with a monocle and a silly mustache but looking at other colors there are parts I like. The "mustache" is apparently a couple of tongues which makes more sense. I like the hands and legs, especially that robot leg. Not a big fan of the shape overall but I can see why people would like it. At 170 bucks retail it's beyond what I would pay. If it was an inch tall keshi figure instead of a foot tall vinyl I'd buy one.

Thank you for that photo, @Waterbear. The textures do look a lot nicer in that shot, as does the face. I'm not the biggest fan of the bottom heavy torso and stubby legs, but the arms and hands are nice. I'd still like to see one in hand, as I've been blown away by toys I didn't like in photos, but loved in hand. However, this being a 12 inch toy makes absolutely no sense to to me. Eight or nine inches, I can see, but a full foot tall and this chubby seems a bit bananas for me!
