Nate and I played The Division Beta. The previews looked good and the beta gave us an opportunity to test it out. A bit of the story mode and online is available. It's feels like Borderlands but in "reality." The menu and tutorials are pretty smooth. My only complaint is fonts a little small and the emotes wheel is hard to control. Other than that the game is nice.

    Pre-ordered!

^ It's being touted as 'Destiny in the real world' -- I played Destiny religiously for about four months after its launch (then quit and haven't picked it up since) and I'd say that's definitely a fair comparison.

I too played it off and on with my girlfriend and we both had a lot of fun. I'll be purchasing it as well.

Played The Division beta as well and noticed some lamoursupreme posters in the subway and some other places.
There's one of the dust monster from the Hayabusa Vaccum ads!

Nate and I are obsessively playing The Division. Not going to venture to the Dark Zone until we are maybe level 30. Right now we are doing story mode, side missions and side missions then story mode.

Finished Bloodborne a couple days ago and I was thoroughly impressed. The story, characters, atmosphere, game mechanics, and combat were truly awesome. Actually, I can't think of anything that wasn't done extremely well. HIGHLY recommended. I thought it was going to basically be Castlevania but then it goes full Lovecraft on your ass, it's crazy.

Now I'm about 30 hours into The Witcher 3. I have to admit, after playing Bloodborne, this game feels downright broken...despite being "Game of the Year". It's clear to me now that The Witcher 3 was the lazy and safe choice for most media outlets to elect as GotY. Maybe I should give it more time? It's still a beautiful and interesting game.

I bought the Witcher 3 during a flash sale late last year. Having beaten Bloodborne 2.5 times (I never got around to playing the DLC) and agreeing on all accounts with your assessment, I was underwhelmed with it as well. Granted, I didn't give it much of a chance but now that I am thoroughly in the grips of the Division and highly doubt that I will be spending my limited vidja time on anything else, I'm not sure if/when I'll get around to picking it up again... Or Far Cry 4... Or Wolfenstein... Or whatever else I bought in that sale. And then there's Dark Souls III and DOOM coming out soon. Ugh.

Being inundated with tons of great new releases is a good problem to have, I just feel like it'll take me forever to get around to playing every game that I'd like to.

If any of you nerds want to add me on PSN and do some Division matchmaking (or just take that next step in our online friendship), hmu, yo -- evylwyzyrd

My boyfriend and his buddies just got back into Warframe and are trying to start a Kubrow breeding operation. They keep trying to get me to come back and play, but I've been way too deep into FFXIV to bother.

I have to emphasize how damn AMAZING the storyline is in FFXIV. I've played so many MMOs and this is the first one I've played that doesn't suffer from a lack of meaningful lore. This game is like "alright kids, your entire game progression will follow a storyline and you'll learn all about the game world." I find that awesome.
Plus the storyline is so rich with memorable characters that I literally found myself almost in tears at certain points. You actually end up giving a damn rather than speeding through to the "endgame" like in WoW.
Even better, all pre-expansion content is still relevant. None of it has really become obsolete, except maybe Coil of Bahamut, since it was an optional raid rather than a storyline raid. (Though I'm still trying to complete it because it does fill in a HUGE part of the lore)
I seriously can't say enough good things about this game.

For fans of Binding of Isaac, Nuclear Throne, Ikaruga, The Legend of Zelda 1, etc, etc..
Highly difficult dungeon crawling awesome. I bought this on PS4 and on Steam because I can't bear to be away from it. (Despite the old video, this is out now)

I have watched some let's plays and am really interested (especially since Isaac Afterbirth for PS4 still has no release date).
How are the controls on PS4? It looks like it might be tough without using a mouse?

yeaaah it's the same as Nuclear Throne you can't really put your Reticle ON your enemies, just in the same direction as the enemies so technically your aim has to be better since you're not clicking ON them just towards them.

PC is always better for games like this but I don't mind them on PS4 they're still fun I just have to work a little harder to perform the same.

This is one of a few Kickstarter indie games that I've pledged to (the others being Bloodstained and Mighty No. 9) and I can't wait to finally check it out when it hits the PS4 this summer. I've read a lot of great reviews, and a lot of people complaining about the difficulty.

This also looks great. I'll wait til it inevitably goes on sale to pick it up, with so much else to play.

Personally, I still can't get enough of the Division and play it whenever I get some free time.

I've finally upgraded my Base of Operations all the way... 8)

And yes on my original 1980s NES system to lol. The boxes and games themselves are in pretty darn good condition to after all these years.

Iv also re-hooked up my old Sega 16 Bit system with 32X attachment and have been playing my library of games from that as well. No Sonic games except for Sonic and Knuckles though. Im going to have to look into getting Sonic 1-3 with complete box art.

Adventure Island which is a super super fun game to play. You can find eggs which give you different dinos to ride on with different abilities. And im pretty sure you can get a skateboard to ride on as well as throwing stone tomahawks.

Im currently debating on which route i should go with this since i have both PS4 and Xbox One. Graphics might be slightly better with PS4 but Xbox One gets the original Darksouls for free with digital purchase. Or if i should just go with a physical copy of the game. The first Darksouls controls are pretty fucking terrible for the PC version i own.

    Dark Souls 3.
Got about 3 hours in yesterday and I am loving it so far. There are a lot of elements that remind me of Demon's Souls which is still my favorite Souls game. Gameplay is faster of course, but not as bloodborny (? :? ?) as I was expecting.
The difficulty seems quite high - we just made it to the second boss in 3 hours - with the first boss being the tutorial boss that you hit after 20 minutes in anyway.

Well, I guess that means I won't get Enter the Gungeon (still, thanks for the reply, BlasphemousWords).

Xbox One version renders at 900p whereas PS4 version is 1080p natively, if that helps your decision making at all. :)

The Souls games have always been PS-centric. Heck, Bloodborne is still exclusive. DS1 PC port was hot garbage, 2nd one was okay, 3rd one is supposed to be pretty good.

Also, if you're Amazon Prime, buy from them. I think it is 20% off pre-orders/games released in the last 2 weeks now.

I ended up getting the game for Xbox One mainly because of the free extra game and also because i have about a TB of space on it as well unlike the PS4 where its more limited.

Graphics don't really matter much to me.

Figure I might Pick up Dark Souls III. I have a hard time justifying Games considering the amount of drawing I have to do. Looks good for sekf hate and decompression, though.

I've celebrated DSIII's release by starting Bloodborne at last. After a frustrating start (where I thought hell, this may not be for me after all), I've finally unlocked the second checkpoint after beating the first boss (first try!). Now I'm pumped up! Of course, I hear the third boss is where the real challenge begins...

All this talk about Dark Souls III, but you guys should honestly pick up good ol' Demon's Souls, the predecessor of the Dark Souls series. It is a LOT darker thematically and atmospherically than Dark Souls. I can't compare it to Bloodbourne since I've never played it myself, but my boyfriend has played Demon's, Dark Souls I and II, and says Demon's Souls is definitely the best of the three.

Also... if anyone plays FFXIV, please for the love of god play with me.
I started playing this year with three of my friends.
One has no Internet at his house and only sometimes comes online on weekends.
One rejoined but got sucked into Stardew Valley and has since disappeared into the world of 2D farming.
One got depressed but then got a girlfriend and has also subsequently disappeared into a world of blissful love or what ever it is that kids with half their heads shaved do.

    I AM SO LONELY
