Not Guy, but I'd only add that the re-issue bodies have a tendency to be a bit floppy and light compared to the awesome Shonen Cyborg re-issue bodies. Small problem to deal with to get some great cyborg bodies!

Yeah - definitely have some limp joint issues - hence a doll stand is kinda essential.

Give me the "99" series for posturing, clearness, and of course magnetic arms!

Wise friends enlighten me on what kind of body I would need for this suit.

A BxH body and suit was just delivered about an hour ago, so naturally, I ripped into it. This is my first experience with suits and bodies, and wasn't sure what to expect. The little research I did before mentioned that the BxH suit had a tendency to melt if it was left unopened. Mandarake said this one was opened, so I assumed it wouldn't be a problem.

I open it up, and there are thin plastic sheets between the body and the suit. I'm assuming this is for protection? Once I pried the sheets out, I noticed that they leaked and caused the body to warp. This isn't much of an issue for me, since the suit will cover it, but I wanted to narrow down the problem. Any idea if this is a problem with the suit, or with the body?

I popped the head off, to find pooling inside the body's head. There was a pretty substantial amount of leaked oil in it. It's currently drying after I had cleaned it out. The body has slight dull stains from where the plastic sheet and suit were.

Being my first body and suit, I wanted to find out what the cause was; the suit, or the body. I'd love to track down a clear purple body to use instead of the stock translucent black body, but not if the suit will just warp the new body.

Onwi, if you do a search you should be able to find your answer. I know it's been discussed before - I just can't remember which part was the problem part. I think that it was specific to the combo of suit/body and that if you get a new body it should be okay. But like I said - do a search...also try visibleinnards.org and do a search there if you can't find anything here.

Now what I want are some GID bodies! Anyone have any ties to Obitsu? Can you get them to make 12" GID male figures that I can put all my suits on? :D

I've done a little reading about the vinyl/plastic interactions after finally getting into HC and getting my first figure (just an Obitsu body right now, all the rest of my haul is in Japan!), but does anyone have an idea of all the different suit/body sets that have these reaction problems? IF the BxH ones have this problem, it seems much easier to avoid them and avoid the problem. I know some of the reissue Takara ones like the Mazinger suit set and I think some of the Walders have the same problem, which is a damn shame. It seems like the problem is a flaw in the vinyl composition, since the complaints I've read about the Takara ones describe the same problem of oil secretion, which would seem to indicate the the vinyl was not mixed right or something to that degree.

A GID Obitsu body would be badass... I'd like to track down a GID suit, either from SB or Skull Toys. With a GID figure as well, that would be a big glowie!

Well, you could take a clear obitsu, disassemble it, and paint the inner surfaces with glow paint...that would not only look pretty wild, but you wouldn't have to fear damaging the paint once everything's back together.
