I’ve heard Murakami post rooms all week. Just now with instinctoy. It’s nice to see an app that requires such digital nativeness in order to be successful. it’s like a podcast on continuos loop.

It’d be interesting to hear the American makers have a chat. Or someone make a weekly meet up or whatever. In lieu of not having cons rn.

My friends scheduled one in a few days so I'll have to report back but after being on work calls most of the week, the last thing I wanna do is join what sounds like another conference call..

It really is. Depends on the crowd. Can be anywhere from high school gossip to forum-like conversations

The amount of notifications for this app are unnecessary

I’m a cranky old man. I don’t want or need another social media app. I especially don’t want to deal apps for toy sales/drops/releases whatever. Instagram is about as far as I care to go. I’ll deal with NTWRK if I have to if the release is right (ie pushead)

As for a substitute for cons... maybe a podcast form? Or a YouTube video. With questions submitted prior? I’d watch something posted on YouTube like a Q&A with a maker. But it’d really have to be something engaging and worth watching.

Don’t get me wrong, I miss conventions; but most of the people I miss seeing at shows I’ve kept in touch with this past year through texts, Instagram, email or this forum.
