I've found QC pretty much standard across the board . . not great but better than most western stuff. What issues did your Megoru have G?
woops, didn't catch that. thanks winu for posting up the picture. i also changed my picture to the other colorway of the shirt.
I'm pretty confident that we'll see this guy in toy form sooner or later. BxH tends to do this a lot right? Feature the toy on a t-shirt first, then make it, or visa versa. edit: an even cooler t-shirt photo
Plastic felt cheap and thin, visible mould lines in various places (fair few BxH have this but nowhere near as bad), iffy paint app on the head. Seemed like a half-baked excuse for a release.
Just checked mine a little closer and it has none of those issues . . . I can't imagine it being worthwhile on such a niche product but could it be a bootleg?
Mine had identical issues - and got it from the source in Japan. Not sure if it was QC, or just design issues. As I recall, and I got rid of mine, I didnt like the way it seemed glued together - the shell being a separate piece. I generally make it a rule to focus only on Jp vinyl BxH releases, although all the cool earlier one are made in China, and my Ken's look pretty damn good I have to say. Given the price of BxH releases, and the strong BxH All other toys suck aesthetic, I wish they would make 'em all in Japan. Anyway, looking forward to seeing this guy cme out - could be my first BxH addition in a while - having passed on the Dissisit hands......
Id say if your passion isnt making toys anymore then dont bother just cuz you can... I actually like that SB is focusing its output elsewhere if Hiddy isnt that into the fight figs anymore.
This has nothing to do with Secret Base . . . it's pure BxH! Apparently it's Hikaru's take on one of his favourite characters . . . The Creature from the Black Lagoon. The Secret Base watermark is a Japanese blog/store.
